noise violation on classic car?

Hey I have a 70s Chevy in NY, and its loud. I just moved back from out of state and in that state there are no emissions laws or anything of that matter. Now I know in NY classic vehicles do not have to obide by emissions laws, but does that go for sound as well? Or can I still receive a ticket for it being too loud?
