if you do a bov ,get ready for some drive ability issues, such as stumbles , maybe popping and sometimes stalling. also as for the fitment it is a negative since the 2008 wrx uses the same tmic as the lgt, the flange is slightly different than the one on your sti.

I tried to put a hks ssq on my car. It was shooting a 2 ft fireball every time I downshifted. It was cool for about 1 minute. Took that bitch off and have been trying to sell it ever since.

good luck man

BOV's don't work to well with our cars. They make the car run rich in between shifts which leads to the car popping. I have a GFB BOV set to 50/50 and I pop a couple times in between shifts depending on how hard I'm on the gas. Stick with the stock BPV and enjoy the car. You'll get better MPG with the stock BPV then with a BOV 100% atmosphere or even 50/50.

are these cars not also recirculated? If so, these cars would be horrible w/ a BOV like mine.

iirc arent the 1.8t's supposed to use diverter valves??? my brother has your cars twin and i remember him having issues, he had to go with a forge motorsports diverter valve.

edit: and to stay on topic i agree, the RFL will make your car run like poo. I've seen it on a friends car.

Forge Performance makes a VERY nice DV valve. I had their wastegate actuator on my VF39. QUALITY stuff. You'll still hear the whoosh a little bit too.
