I considered the same thing with a celica. The answer I found was that it'd be "possible" but require major fabrication work.

If I'm not mistaken, those two engines are set up completely opposite of one another. Ie, the 3s has the intake manifold at the back of the engine bay, similar to a Honda b-series, with the transmission on the passenger side of the bay. The 1zz and 2zz are essentially reversed in the engine bay (like a Honda k20) making the swap
More difficult than it's worth.

Its possible, a good amount of fab and engine management. Ive seen it done before.
