Probably just me, but every time I go into the Ask the Law section to post something, I get this message:

jesse096, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I want to post in there to try to help someone but can't...

Chris pretty much hit it on the head. We only let the OP and the LEO's that moderate that section post in there.

i respect the idea of that section...but there was a couple of times that i had answers for a few people and could not help them so I just pm'ed them. Why not just make it open forum and just make it clear that nonsense posts are unacceptable. Just my two cents.

Nope, too much misinformation and out of respect for the officers that come on here in their free time to give a hand, it will remain a semi-closed forum.

Do what the rest of us do. Post in the Garbage Bin Ask The Law section or PM the person direct.
