Evo X Rally car

Hi !
I'm new this forum , so i just put up some sneak peak, and if you guys have questions, just ask. As much as i can i will answer it , with my best knowledge.

SO i have a X Rally car , which can be classed between the Grupe N and the Open class. The reason is why falls in to open is simply the New Grupe N restrictor plate which is 33 mm. SO the US rules are "stock" class 32 mm open 34mm...
The EU rules the stock class are 33mm. My car mostly stock, i got Cosworth cams, and all the necessary rally parts and the Ecuteck tune by AL dynoflash CT.

here is the fast go around the car in video.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MRhmnA9Le2o

it has a AST suspension , which are nothing short of amazing. And speedline corse rims.

Thats all for start . thanks for looking Rob

thanks !
This AST is the Grupe N Rally gravel suspension. It was too soft on tarmac, but we will get another sets of springs to solved that.

Look the travel on it

down on the grupe N specs, but still can be lower and still have good travel on it!

up but still not fully open. Sadly this is the pics i have now about the travel. It goes down a bit more...

The AST is nothing short of amazing !!!!

I love seeing all the Evo X's on here. Such a great platform to be involved with.

The AST suspension that you're running...is it the 4200 double adjustable or the 5200? Either way, I'm glad you're impressed by them

This winter the car changed .

We got a tuner from EU and retuned the car. Feels amazing. We did go back to factory boost ecu controller. We finally get rid of the ABS. Also the Hydraulic e-brake is working!!!
The brake system changed from the simple "pedal Box" version, there is no more help to brake.
Also we got the proper tarmac springs so this year instead the snow spring we run the proper ones.

And many small changes. But After the Porsche club event /test for us/ we going to Raly New York, the MT washington hill climb /hope fully/

THEN comes a major change in this year. we completely get rid of the S-AWC and put the whoile new rear end in the car for gravel.

That i 'll post pictures .

finally gauges

the new cat and tune at warm idle /sorry for the quality/
start up:

warm idle:

extar tube for the water drain ...

etc.

thansk for looking

4 weeks before the scheduled engine start

here is how the car looks like:

hard work going on at RKTmotorsport

some of the wight loss parts, Jenny Craig should go to this guys for guidance in diet... LOL

new engine parts etc all over:

now i just have to sit and wait until the engine and the ACD ECU arrives + the tuner

And some of the removed materials

so more work has been done in the weekend
some pictures of that:

you guy remember the ****ty oem clutch master cylinder, right?
RKT motors fixed that now i have a perfectly "stock " upgrade . fits feels like a stock, but now i have a AP CMC .
here is the old crappy one /not our picture /:

and here is the new upgraded one:

the new springs for MT Washington, with a much better rate:

the oem heater box vs the new one.... LOL

and still cutting out parts from the car and the doors. we were able to take out over 10lb each door!

we measured the crap it came out lately and we are around 100lb less !!!!

i was in unlimited class already , but with an unworthy car. Only because my EU stock class restricor plate size, they bumped me up to unlimited. the stock class is 32 mm the unlimited is 34 . In eu the new stock restritor plate size is 33 mm and that is made for the X .
Now we start to catch up to the unlimited class. I will still lacking many angle of that but we slowly getting there.

I have no idea about the power the car will be make.
I will run 104 blue race gas /the best allowed by the rules/ So with that and the new engine and ECU's and tune , probably around 260whp and 400+ wtq.
with around 28psi spike. The useable power range probably will be around 3000-6000 rpm. but maybe narrower. As soon as we finish i will post the new car and power.

thanks Rob
