Well I haven't really done much to the Viper, except recently I'm dailying it. I did something probably regrettable to the truck and ran into a little snag so I'm waiting on overnight parts from Japan. The plan was to have it complete over the weekend and continue it's daily duty..

I've been working on it the last few months. Tapped the oil pan a few oil changes ago. Put a duramax intercooler/rad set up in it, then did the cold side tubing, and ran it with the maf on the other side of the IC lol.

I finally decided to make it chooch, but the manifold I had previously made hit the firewall because I assumed it would fit, rather than actually test fit. So, I spent the majority of Saturday reworking that, which put me behind quite a bit.
I got the crossover pipe from the drivers bank done Sunday, and welded up the hot side charge pipe. Pretty much just have heatercore hoses to lengthen, and an oil feed adapter I'm waiting on.

Pretty basic sloppy recipe:

Edit:
Oh yeah, I lowered the crap out of it with drop keys, hangers, shackles, even cut the rear hangers off and moved them up on the frame. It's about as low as it will go until I C notch it(I need to anyway) Annnd I think the driveshaft is now too long.

When putting in the Duramax stuff:

Was pretty straight forward. The diesel rad didnt have an engine oil cooler built into it, so I put an external on. (not pictured) The gasser trans cooler lines are much smaller, so I chopped the end off the duramax adapters and welded in the original fittings.

For the return fitting I just removed the fuel tank pressure sensor and drilled the hole out a little bit. Also, I learned you can use AN fittings on standard rubber hose lol. I didnt have any other sort of bulkhead fittings at the shop so I just do'd it.

And finally, a completed downpipe that mates up to the stock exhaust. Well almost complete. I will be recirculating the wastegate, but I'm waiting on a flex section for it.

This was done with all spare stuff. I've bought a few new vbands, some reducing couplers that I ended up not needing anyway. Even after the hp tuners credits, flowing/cleaning injectors, etc, I'll be in this less than $1500.

I got the injector data back from the decaps today. They're on their way back.

Pretty cool to see this. I'm really glad I had these checked rather than throwing 8 in at random. Two of them were junk, which could have ended badly. Well worth the $145. Which included new o rings, filter baskets and pintle caps.
Couldn't be happier.
