Volvo S80

Anyone know anything about this car? A friend of a friend is seling one at a good price and was thinking about getting it as a daily driver to save miles on my STi. It is a 2001 with a twin turbo 6 cylinder, with 268 hp and 280 torque. Only thing I am not crazy about, is that it is FWD. Other than that it is clean and fully loaded.

Very nice car. I think there are much better choices for a drivers car though....

S80

Stay away from it if it is a 99 or 00. They had so many problems it's crazy. That why you can get the 99/00 for so cheap. I just sold my 850 turbo and got a lot of useful info from

http://www.volvospeed.com/volvo_performance.php

and

http://www.vptuning.com/

Sweet rides though, I owned a 01 S40 and an 02 S60 AWD both were slugs (as stock) if you can afford it save and buy the S60R
good luck!

I would love to get the S60R but just looking for a daily driver while keeping the STi.

my father has one, its a real nice car, great daily driver.. parts and maintenance are expensive however.. it is one safe and tough car, my father hit a dear going 75, only damage was to the front fender, and was able to drive the car to the dealership.

A guy in my Guard unit bought the 300hp R model.
He sold it two weeks later, it was absolute junk.

I was glad, it looked like a yuppy soccer mom car.
