How to get wax off windows ??

So the other day I went to clean my windows and I grabbed a rag that was once used for waxing so when I washed my car the wax transfered to my windows. I've clean them multiple times and I just can't get it off ( this is the I side of the car ). Is there anything I can use to get it off ?? Because I just clean and clean and it leaves streaks and I can't see at night.

dish soap should remove the wax. Then use a glass cleaner mixed with vinegar and should come out nice and streak free. Just be careful with the dish soap though. It'll remove the wax on the paint as well. If it drips on the paint, just wipe it off, and do a quick coat of wax on the area just to make sure you have protection

wax and grease remover (for prepping cars for paint), lacquer thinner, a window cleaner or even dish soap as mentioned. basically anything that cuts grease will work.

Rubbing alcohol? A clay bar would probably work too.

A little bit of dawn in a spray bottle with water should do the trick.. Use a microfiber rag

I'd say first try plain old Windex without amonia, if that does not work try invisible glass.

And obviously since you have tint do not use a clay bar or alcohol.

You can't use windex on a car that has tint...

BTW I may have made a boo-boo. I cleaned with newspaper. Was just reading now that its a bad idea for tinted windows. So what the hell do you clean it with? People say Microfiber cloths scratch your paint, so I can't see it doing any better on tint.

Anyway back on topic.

Not trying to argue but I was told that Windex was fine as long as there was no ammonia in it. In fact any window cleaning product as long as it does not have ammonia.

yea... As a general rule of thumb, ammonia is nasty stuff... better to stay away from that stuff anyway, bad for most tint, bad for the environment..
