Yeah, the state received the funding necessary to fund check points for DUIs apparently.

By the way people, if you know what's good for you. Never. EVER. Run from a K9. You will not make it very far and you will regret it when you get caught.

Nope, just very familiar with what K-9's, personal protection dogs, and ScHh dogs are like.

If it's a REAL working dog with the right drive, brass knuckles don't do ****
There's been K9s and working dogs that have gotten shot and still work
If you saw a dog back of from brass knuckles, it wasn't a very well trained K9

Which then begs the question: WTF are you doing punching a K9 (or any dog) with (or without) brass knuckles?

Although I semi-agree with that statement, you better believe if any dog (police dog or not) is getting all up on me attacking me, there WILL be punches, kicks, swinging of whatever I need to.

i think its more reaction than intent...

i know if i saw a dog running at me, i'd probably bolt... it really doesn't matter though... the command is to attack, whether you are standing there waiting for it, or running away from it... you're getting hit and brought down and that dog ain't letting go until its told.

I've had the luxury of knowing a few police dogs back in the day when the officers that were on duty would stop by my grandfathers house during christmas (he was a cop)... the one guy had a K9 and we'd be able to pet him. very very very sweet dog.

and i believe that abington dogs are trained by philly

This is sort of off topic but at the same time on-topic since the Op mentioned police dogs

BUT K9s can most definitely be sweet, awesome, loving dogs. Most are. They have extremely high drives, but they have an ability to come off of the ScHh field or police work, turn off their guard dog mode and be family pets. However, you run from a K9, they will chase and bite you, and if you retaliate, it will only get worse. They aren't scared of much, and if you just stop running or whatever you're doing wrong that they'd be using a K9 for, uh, they don't bite..

I guess I have the outlook that the only reason a K9 would be bearing down on you is if you did something to instigate that attack and I have no intention of ever putting myself into the situation that a K9 needs to be commanded to take me down.

And, you do realize that in the eyes of the police, punching a K9 is equal to (if not worse than) assaulting another officer?

if you retaliate and strike a K9 unit, you WILL be charged with assaulting an officer.

Not at all...I was actually trying to say that only I, clearly, didn't convey that when I said
