No, I don't remember seeing any titanium rotors this time. There was quite a few vendors out though so maybe I missed him. What company is he with?

I have been having a lean issue with my RX7 in the past month or so and it is kicking my butt. New fuel filter installed, cleaned afm, swapped my primary 720cc injectors for a pair of 1000's that I have, inspected all vacuum hoses, replaced all vac caps. Still having the same issue...If I have the ecu set to 550/720 the car will want to flood of course, but when I rev it the afr's look ok. Switch it to 720/720 and it will repeat what it was doing before. Did a compression test on the engine while I was at it and the numbers look great. 110psi on both front and rear rotors. Swapped ECU's and dropped in some stock injectors and still no change.

Well didn't want to deal with the stock ecu/old wiring harness anymore so I went ahead and ordered a Haltech Sprint RE. Should be here in a couple of weeks. In the mean time I have been getting the car ready for the new harness and ecu. Ordered a series 5 (89-91) throttle body and TPS, BAC and ASV block off plates. Put my 1150cc and 1000cc injectors back in and pressure tested the system and wiped everything down.

Pulled the stock engine wiring harness out and cut out the windshield wiper and coolant temp sensor wires so I can still use them. Since I won't be running an afm anymore I will be able to upgrade the air filter as well. I will be going from a restricted 2 3/4" intake to a full 4" intake

The fuel pump is wired with a relay straight from the battery with a 10 gauge wire. This video shows my fuel pressure gauge while revving http://youtu.be/5sZpYgEph5k

I've had the Haltech in for a few months now and has been running great. Just wanted to update this thread.

When I received the Haltech Sprint RE from C. Ludwig. It came with all connections prewired, resistors for my injectors, relay and fuse box

C. Ludwig included Haltech coolant temp and air temp sensors for free.

Drilled and tapped my Greddy throttle body for the air temp sensor

The Haltech coolant temp sensor plugged right into the stock location

Cutting and drilling holes for my new intake

Intake all complete

Ran the wiring harness through the stock location

In the process of getting everything ran and wired up.

Everything bolted back up.

A vid of the car idling. Have to keep the idle at around 1000rpm and likes air fuel ratios in the mid 12's.
http://youtu.be/63skVA4MS7g

I used to run 17psi with the stock ecu and rtek setup. Now with the Haltech ecu, Fuel Injector Clinic 1150cc and Delphi 1000cc injectors I can run 21psi. I haven't had the chance to take it to the dyno yet. The car feels great though and hopefully will take it to the track at some point.

After opening up the intake I started to have some major boost creep issues and could not keep boost down below 12psi. So I had to upgrade the wastegate. Got rid of the 38mm and picked up a JGS 50mm wastegate and a HKS flange adapter. After I did the swap the new wastegate controls boost beautifully. The JGS does not use a diaphragm it uses orings to seal everything up.

Here is a dyno sheet from the other day. This is the first time I have taken the 7 to the dyno since installing the Haltech ECU and it has been killing me to find out if I was making the same power as I was before or more. I'm happy with the improvement over last year but disappointed at the same time. The only reason why I was somewhat disappointed is that I was not able to run the boost pressures I wanted to run. Every time I was trying to boost over 20psi I was getting some big time ignition breakup and had to keep boost around 19psi. I started the pulls kinda high at around 3500rpms. The dyno graph shows the difference between my low and high boost settings. Low is set to 13-14psi and high was at 19psi. I think the biggest reason for the ignition problems is that I am still running the stock bur9eqp's and I really need to be on race plug heat range 10's. I think I need to invest in a manual boost controller as well.

420whp @ 14psi and 474 @ 19psi. If I remember right the S360 turbo comes on full boost for me around 3500rpm, but most of the time I'm doing pulls starting around 3000rpm's.

Still around with a few updates. I deployed to Ethiopia for six months and while there I collected a few parts for the 7. Picked up a HKS twin power and NGK race plugs to help with my high rpm hesitation. While shopping around RHDJapan I noticed that they had FC Panspeed rear fenders on sale. The fenders have always been something I wanted to and decided to go ahead and ordered them. Ordered the matching fronts from Shine Auto. Also picked up a ReAmemiya rear spoiler during a group buy from a friend in Socal

The HKS twin power and NGK race plugs made a huge difference in power and can now freely rev to redline in high boost without it breaking up
