You need a normal suspension, slammed does not equal performance. Otherwise, nice to see another one on the site.

If there's sufficient suspension travel and the car is not hitting the bump stops, being that low is beneficial. Only when the car is hitting the bump stops excessively does being that low become a hinderance. That being said, the NA has less travel then the NB models unless the NB tophats or aftermarket ones are used.

Im running NB coilovers, and for a few reasons. They have a slightly stiffer spring rate then NA coilovers, because they are a couple hundred pounds heavier. Also, i'll be running NB tophats in the rear. As far as my bump stops go, Im not on them. I still have a good amount of travel left. I woudlnt drive a car that rides on the bumpstops. It drives great though.
As far as a motor...5.0 isnt what im after. IF I did a V8, it would be an LS1 since its an all aluminum block. Only like 40 pounds more then the stock b6. In the end, i'll either have a turbo setup or an LS1. Probably a turbo though. |

All in good fun, man. A v8'd Miata is on my list of things to do. Good luck with the build.

I can dig it. There's a shop in Jersey that has a procharged LS1 Miata with a CF hardtop. It's outta control!

Well..ive had it for 3 years haha. So I already love it. I just started modding it though. Ive had a lot of other cars and for some reason they all took priority over this one..until now. Heres a list of some of the stuff i've gone through.
98 Wrangler, 6.5 longarms on 35s. 4:88 gears, locked f/r with a supercharger 00 Cherokee 3.5 inch lift and 32s, snorkel 02 1.8t Jetta. EIP stage 2 turbo, FMIC, BBS LMs blah blah 97 Camaro, corvetter DT swap, blown at 14 PSI. 150 shot (never used) on hoosier drag slicks..9.7 1/4 without NO2. Full cage, tubbed, 6 gallon fuel cell. 84 Turbo Diesel 300D Mercedes Benz (FOR SALE!!! ) awesome car, just cool as phuck to drive. 88 Toyota pickup on 36s with a Grand national motor Lotus Elise Thats about it.. Now all the attention is on the miata and buying a house. |

looking good man, I need a good suspention for mine haha.
If your not on it already, sign up at miataturbo.net. If you have any questions about turboing the car, pm me, ive been through everything with these engines. Check out my member journal! The turbo on my miata is actually from a 300D, it suits the 1.6L pretty well haha. Oh and im assumeing its a shortnose motor? I dunno if you did any fixes, but that should be at the top of your list. By the way, try not to get a ride in any turbo miatas. It will get you hooked and money will start flying outta your wallet haha.
