DSM: 16G Vs. SCM5031E back to back

Hey, I forgot I had these videos.

This is my DSM running two different turbos, with, the same mods otherwise.

Video 1: This is the 50 trim on 93 octane garbage at 21PSI. This is the exact setup I trapped 111 in third gear on, video was taken the night before the track. (45 degrees out)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DlSnHzyUIw
--- Seeing 42lbs/min airflow. (hovering near 400 hp)

Video 2: This is the 16G (regular old 16G, not an E3) @ 22PSI 65 degrees out (warmest day of the year so far) on E85 running very rich (it's been retuned now, with a 33PSI spike and is quite quicker, it breaks third loose like it does to second gear).
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3CV1UhVk1X4&NR=1
---- Seing 39lbs/min airflow (under 400 horsepower)
My 0-115 times are faster with the 16G since it has no lag and I have 4th gear now hahah.

Anyhow- just showing this so you don't underestimate that little 16G- figured it useful for DSM'rs.

Ignore the music, ignore me talking to myself as well. haha

Nice, people definitely underrate 16g's nowadays but there still an awesome turbo. I couldn't imagine spiking to 33psi on e85 with one though. Must be fun, any plans to get back to the track?

Soon as my trans is done getting a rebuild. I blew up another one, this is #2 this month, an AWD would really benefit from the spike though vs. FWD where it just breaks loose. Third really takes off though mid range though (65-80). I dream of what this would feel like 1st and 2nd with AWD.

As for the spike, it just screams and and likes it. Haha.

Good to see you're enjoying the 16g. I told you that's a good/strong turbo! It's a Buschur ported and clipped Big 16. I had it spiking to 28 and that felt good...30 must be even better

I have been having fun with the 50 trim as well. I went 12.6@112 at 22 psi last week, 93 octane of course, 19 degrees of timing and around 11.0 afr's across the range.

More boost and cams soon!
