*UPDATE*
so driving home from my g/f's house friday night on bridgetown pike, my car decided to break down half-way up a hill. AWESOME! didn't feel like anything was wrong, no wierd noises or smells, i was stumped. called my dad, and then after about 30 minutes of staring at the engine (using flashlights because this is at 10pm) and trying to start it over and over again, we (he) dtermined it was most likely the timing belt. so all day today (sunday 4/29), while i was at work, my dad spent 7 hours replacing the timing belt, alternator, water pump, and fan belt. what had happend was a bearing got loose in the water pump, and the timing belt was destroyed. so now i have the fun task of doing yard work to pay him off for the parts because i am broke and can't give him any cash. but the good thing is, it's back running again like a champ.

never thought i'd say this, but i hate my car. after my little breakdown situation, i thought it was all fixed. turns out it isnt. now there's a problem w/ an oil leak of which the source can't be found. it's a long story and help is needed.

UPDATE:
no more oil leak or anything mechanically wrong (for today), the car is running great. just took my first trip w/ it since fixing everything, drove to L.B.I. and back with no problems, everythings good right now.
I GOT MY FENDER ALL DONE! that saturday (5/26) i finished around 3PM. in the process, three bolts broke off in the body, prob cause of being hit and that they're 17 years old, they wouldn't come out w/ pliers or needle noses, so i drilled into them, breaking three drill bits in the process, but in the end i prevailed and got it all done in time for prom, which was amazing, and although i didn't get laid in my backseat, i still got laid so it was a great night
for now i'm just going to leave the fender unpainted and in black primer, i don't really feel like spending the money to have it painted because in august it's no longer mine, nor do i want to be without it for the couple days.
so now that my car is back to how it should be, i have nothing to bitch about, except that i have nothing to bitch about.

rattle can the fender. If you do it right it doesn't turn out bad at all.

my paint has a bit of a metallic flake so it still won't quite look right, i'm not too worried about it, im happier with an unpainted and undented fender then i was with a dented yet painted one

I had a similar ride for my first import:

It was an '89 Accord Lx-i. I just wish I would have got it painted and lowered it. It would have been that much cooler. I remember I custom made a Cold-air-intake for it, installed a short shifter, installed a system in it, and put wires and a coil in. I thought I was the **** (not really, but it was fun for my first import).

I think if you put some yellow fogs (mine were $12 APCs from Advance) on it it would be more styled as an old-school car, like it is. I like it.

Sorry to here about your fender and breakdown. That **** sucks. I remember my Accord had the diff go, and once the oil plug fell out and all the oil drained out...funny stuff not told to the buyer.

i have a set of blue fogs on right now, they help pretty well at night so i'm fine with them, i had almost forgotten that the fender was still unpainted, its on the passenger side so i hardly see it even so, it's still black
