Yesterday my dad picked up his brand new 2006 Corvette Z06... its silver, i am proud to say that it is now the 4th corvette we have and is by far the fastest. the only thing that compares is the 1971 454 ci 425 hp vette. The Z06 is a freaking rocket. It does 0-60 in 3.6 seconds and does it in 1st gear too

. Itll do the 1/4 in under 12 seconds.... heres a spec page

Wow congrats. They are beasts. With a tune and headers i have seen them put down 550+ to the wheels.

Congrats. Im trying to convince my dad to buy one. Im usually not a huge vette fan but somethings got me with the new ones. I like everything about them.

That's sick.

There are SEVERAL pages online that show a SIMPLISTIC 550+ to the wheels setup.

Seems they need SIMPLE crap...for INCREDIBLE results.

i work at that dealership where he bought it...i was checking out your evo...very nice.....i actually thought that the evo was going to get traded in for the z06 and i got all excited lol...but oh well, nice cars man!!!

yeah the viper is also a lot more than the z06..and right now the z06 has the same amount of HP ass the viper, looks just as good..and its alot less

my brother in law just bought a 2000 vette recently, he already wants the z06. My boss know ssomeone who has one, he was tellin me about how the exterior was all carbon fiber and fiberglass and the inner supports are balsa (sp) wood. He was sayin he used to make wooden airplanes out of that stuff. They are doin what ever they can to keep that weight down in the car.

Actually a tad more at the wheels and is lighter.

yea some of the fenders and the hood are painted carbon fiber and the rest is fiber glass... im working on the pics right now so, hopefullly they will be up shortly

P.S.- GTIivVR6: if the Evo was traded in for the Z06, the Z06 would be in my garage bay right now hahaha

New Z06 is perfect on everything except that stupid swept rear window and wheels. It would look 10X better with the old C5 short rear window. Fender flares are where it is at though

Sharp car! I got to drive a headers/tune C6 Z06, it was a beast! The owner's best run at the time was 11.3@130, sick cars.
