Well the one baby died to I decided to get a bigger one this time. Name is bubba small one is myrtle. also added a seperate basking tank for them, so they have as much water to swim in as possible.

here's the two. bubba is the big one, myrtle the small.

turtles are sweet. my friend's little turtle died this past week also. according to her, the small one was sick and the big one bit the small one's head off in a mercy kill

well the small ones were "rescued". I went to philly to get the other in hopes to find another small one. They are illegal to sell under 4 inches, however.........the lady at the pet store said some grocery stores in china town sell the babies as food, disturbing, but i believe it. I put them in the top tank a few times to make sure they could get back to the water and not jump onto the floor, but haven't seen them climb up on there own yet since i left for work about 20 mins after i finished it. I think it will take a few days for them to get used to it, but the big guy already eating big goldfish!

If i didt have a 30 Gal setup for Fish, id get some.

you basically need a basking heat lamp and a good uvb light. they sell floating rocks that range in size, biggest one is only about $25. I've seen people keep turtles in 30 gallons there whole life, I got this tank for free or i would have prob started smaller...

I got a 55gal setup, a red eared slider [its literally like 1.5"], and a bigger turtle, that kinda freaks me out bc he bugs out sometimes and idk what kind of turtle he is.
