I've used glass beeds, worked pretty well on valve cover. You may want to goggle sand blasting media. See what works best, also if you have a harborfreight.com in your area. They carry alum oxide, glass beeds, walnut shells.
I tried quicrete/play sand it work okay but it MUST be dry/warm. Tried it when temps dropped and it just clogged up due to some moisture in sand. |

cool, I appreciat it fella's, I can deffinetly check out that eastwood store off of route 100, if you could can you put up the address of that store? and rockstar I wouldnt use the sand cause it has silica in it and that can be very dangerous to your respitory system to breath in, it causes a disease called silicia I think?. That is the reason why nobody uses sand anymore, if you get media blast make sure it has a very low to no silica content in it.

I always just go to harbor freight. It's dirt cheap there and they have a big selection

glass bead will always provide the nicest surface finish. It almost polishes parts.

I actually picked up a bag from a buddy of mine that owns a machine shop, it is a real coarse glass bead, works like a charm. Anyway thanks for the input guys.
