yes you do! lol

So i was having some lawn care done last weekend and had to move the "****ro" so after trying to start it with the knock it wouldnt start because of the dead battery i left in there...so i charged it and after about 30 mins it started up! To my amazement there was no knock! Still milking oil but no knock!?!? Never the less it had a miss and the car was covered in filth since it was sitting under a tree for more then a year. So me and the girl pulled the car out changed the oil and washed it. After idling for a while the miss was gone and (knock on wood) the knock hasnt appeared to come back. So without further adieu....shes back! (hopefully)

After

For real. What a car.

I love the whole fleet, too, though!

This roller popped back up for sale in NJ. I think it has floor pan rust, it'd be an afternoon fix for you. Probably battery box and a few other areas but it's all easy for someone with any fab skills.

Comes with coilovers and is latemodel. Bet you could get it CHEAP cuz he's paying storage on it.

The worst rust spot on an e30 is probably rear spring perches but I've done them and they're not even that bad. Towards the end of the thread he claims it's just floor rust which is easy.

thanks guys. No real updates on the e30. im still collecting parts and weighing my options but its still going to happen as soon as my schedule clears up.

As far as the other cars go here are some quick updates.

1. Supra is driven every so often. Contemplating to build the motor or build A motor and go from there but we'll see. I have a killer head in my garage for it but debating on slapping that on my stock/existing block.

2. Datsun is just waiting for warm weather so that i can finish some fab work. Then i get to take it apart and work on the frame! Yay can't wait.

3. 300zx shiro....i'm not sure if it's still mixing water and oil but it gets driven every once in a while.

4. E93 m3....this was sitting at a shop in NJ where i took it to get the top looked at. This sat over there for a while and ended up getting the wheels stolen. However the shop was able to reimburst me for that and bought new wheels (see below) which i think are better looking. Nevertheless the issue with the top wasnt fixed and i dont think they wanted to deal with it. Bad experience but i'm glad is over.

This weather isn't helping the cause!

Those wheels on the M3 look great! Sorry to hear the shop didn't work out- that happens to me any time I don't do something myself. There are a few speciality shops out here that I tried to get in touch with for BMW welding work and they wanted what ended up being $200 per 4" mig bead. I bet they'd fix your top and charge you $8K

As per the E30, exterior-wise you need to get some all black trim (may be able to help you out w that), get rid of that pfeba spoiler for an iS spoiler, get some euro grills, and some IE3 Springs w/ Konis and E90 drop hats (the best affordable suspension setup).

Are you going to do a bushing refresh while you're in there? I can give you the run down on what to get for cheap+best for performance (hint, febi OEM rubber in the rear + M3 offset control arm bushings+lemfoerder control arms, E36 steering rack).

Also, what's the final drive like on the trans you're using? Pretty steep?

Alright! If you spend a little $ on suspension you're going to have a car that you never want to stop driving. You obviously know how to build a proper car, but this list contains (IMHO) the best products for your $$ that work very well together that don't break the bank.

Front suspension:

Suspension refresh/reinforcement:

Garagistic Subframe Reinforcement: https://store.garagistic.com/BMW-E30...nforcement-Kit
Lemforder Front Control Arms: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...30-e302piece-l
M3 Solid Rubber offset CABs: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...r-31129061222l
Lemforder tie rod assys: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...-32111125186-1
E36 Steering Rack (way faster lock 2 lock ratio, e30 rack is embarrassingly slow. You still use your factory lines/resevoir): http://shop.rackdoctor.net/1995-BMW-...995-533-M3.htm
Steering rack swap kit: https://store.garagistic.com/e30-ste...ion-z3-e36-e46
Stainless lines: https://store.garagistic.com/e30-sta...el-brake-lines
Swaybar kit:
https://store.garagistic.com/E30-Adj...SABEgK8ofD_BwE

Best simple combo for lowering:

IE3 Springs: http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/item/e30rspring.html
Konis (koni valving is HIGHLY preferred to bilstein on these cars): https://www.ecstuning.com/b-koni-par...it/86411021kt/
E90 drop hats: https://store.garagistic.com/BMW-E30...der=ASC&page=2

A million times better but a little more work:

https://groundcontrolstore.com/colle...-length-struts

https://groundcontrolstore.com/colle...prepared-class

Rear Suspension: Poly bushings in the back of an E30 are noisy and annoying. Febi/Corteco are the way to go.

TA Bushings (x2): https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...nt-33329061945
Subframe Bushings (x2): https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...r-33311129144l
Diff bushing: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...es-33171135242
Adjustable rear suspension camber/toe (e30s don't have rear adj and toe-in a ton aka crazy tire wear and lack of contact patch): http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/item...bkit-lock.html
http://www.iemotorsport.com/bmw/item...ekit-lock.html

Hope that helps narrow down the giant lists of which e30 suspension parts are good/bad.

AFAIK you'd just need the E30 pedal assembly/clutch master. You're not going to use an e30 g260 right?

Sold e30, sold m3, wrapped the supra, bought an sc300, drove the datsun, and had a baby. It's been a while but there's the update lol.
