Searching car at a traffic stop

I keep on hearing different things about a cops ability to search different parts of a car at a traffic stop. According to Jay-Z "Well my glove compartment is locked so is the trunk and the back And I know my rights so you gon' need a warrant for that" does he actually know his rights or is he wrong?

He's and ass but in a way he's right 1st what cop is going to open his glovebox anyway and what be on entertainment tonight please. 2nd if the officer has probable cause a warrant is not a problem. And we can just tow his car and inpound it till we get one gee I hope he won't be late for his show.
