I like, something outside the norm. I am guessing it never gets traction with those wheels?

There's another guy over at feoa.net selling his boosted festy. Crazy swap considering it's usually done on a 323/Escort/Protege. I'd love to get my hands on a GTX/GTR.

thats the motor thats in my car. or the ford escort zx2s. its the BP motor that is often boosted in the earlier model mazda 323s. Miatas have the same motor as well, though i dont remember which year. that motor can handle much more than 5 lbs of boost!

The zx2 motor isn't the BP. It's a DOHC Zetec from Ford and very different. That BP is in the 91-96 EGTs/LX-e, 91-94 Tracer LTS, 90-94 Protege/323, mx-3, and 94-97 Kia Sephia. The one in your car is pretty much the same but some minor changes were made due to moving from the BG chassis to the BH platform. But yea def can handle at least 10psi. They usually do fine with the GTX IHI and that thing pushes 12-13 with spikes.

I'd love to get my hands on a a gtx front end and toss it into a 90 dx awd protege.

I found info stating 1600-1800 different sources so I would say in the middle 1700
