How To: GC Clear Corners

This is a simple DIY that when done carefully came come out looking great. There is a chance you will break the housing/glass so BE CAREFUL!

Heat up adhesive

Use a hairdryer or heatgun to heat that edges of the lamp. This is where the adhesive lies that keeps the glass and housing together. Heat it until it is too hot to touch. Use a thin tool to slowly work your way around and separate the glass from the housing. It takes some time and will require some pulling once there is a gap in between the two. Keep heating and pulling until everything is separated.

Take Reflective Orange Lens Out of Glass

This is simple. But be careful not to cut/ drill to deep. The orange lense is held in by the outer edges. The edge sits atop the clear lense. You need to break off this orange that sits atop the edge. To do this drill or cut slots into the orange as deep as it goes. Once you hit clear....STOP! Then take pliers and break off the orange edge. After doing this the large orange piece will lift out.

Assembly

Heat everything back up and slide the two pieces back together. Make sure everything is as flush as it was before you began. If it is not sitting correctly than it will sit weird on the car and look horrible.

ENJOY!
