the 1jz came in jdm cars: jza70(mk3 supra), cressidas, soarers, aristo

and the 2jz's came in the mk4 supra's, and the alteza's/lexus is300.

The 1jz was never released in the us, and it is about 30% of is is 2j parts from the flywheel forward

and the 1jz is 2.5L the 2jz is 3.0L

For the 2JZ, they were made in NA and Turbo models... the NA has the code GE and the Turbo has the code GTE.
As far as I know the engines are very similar internally, aside from higher compression pistons for the NA and lower compression pistons for the Turbo.

the 1jz was made in N/A as well.

the 1jz has a shorter stroke and therefore a higher redline. people a lot of times do a 1.5jz using a 1jz head because it supposedly flows better, and a bigger displacement, maybe stronger 2jz bottom end, or it might be the other way around.

how much boost do you think you can safely put through the 2jz bottom end... from what i hear, they are pretty bulletproof
