Can someone help me. I'm starting to get into photography and just got the girlfriend a 70-300mm sigma lens. But I was curious if there's a way to attach a fisheye to it or what. Grimm I know you have photo experience.

you can get a "fish eye" attachment for a lens, but using the 70-300 it won't be any good.

I was noticing the fisheye attachment only working for 55mm. I think I'm getting to understand it now. Maybe that will be something considered down the road.

I personally wouldnt buy one of those fisheye attachments. If you're looking for the fish eye effect, purchase a wide angle lens (such as the sigma 10-20, tokina 12-24)

Ok, thanks for the input guys. I'm sure I will have more questions down the road too. I want to start taking more pictures at the track after yesterday.

I have the T3 with the standard lense, as well as the 70-300mm. I have been messing with the manual settings quite a bit to get used to it, but I just took a look at some pics in the Photograph section of here, and just think, their pics are so much more crisper looking than mine. I've only have really shot during the day light though.

I have the canon L version of the same lens Jim posted. It's by far one of the most versatile lenses. but look to drop 1200 for a used one. I also have the 17-40L which is a great wide angle, not fish eye.

Ok, well I guess you do have to drop some money for some of those lenses. I have to figure out if I want to get that big into it.

I didn't know that. Can you do that at a local camera shop?
