Did you finally get a Suby?
+1 for Precision, since RalliSpec is shying away from doing swaps and their wait is until like October.

you can run rs tranny for a bit of time but it will be torn up quick and gearing is different
AZP in kenilworth is another good place to get work done precision rallispec those are the main places id go to get it done since you have no pieces of the puzzle id be like 5-6 grand to get it all done and working |

You should talk to Bob who goes to red robin. He has a 2.5 with a WRX swap. I am not sure who did it but there are some custom things that need to be done like custom rad supports.
I don't think Bob is on here so look for him at the Red Robin meets. |

pricing is basically all the same. around 6-6500. you can do it cheaper by buying the parts and doing the install yourself. Then goin to rallispec or AZP to have them wire it for about 1k.

Id need an EJ20 (of course) and a Crossmember and then just bolt up? Or do i need other junk besides the wiring junk that where i took it would have to do. then theres getting there....might as well dish the 6-6.5k for the swap all done there. Think i could sell Ej25 w/ 87k miles for anything?

i'm tackling a wrx swap into a MY98 2.5rs - should be done by the end of summer...
here's some useful info: - http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=386462 - you can use wrx crossmember OR legacy turbo crossmember (which is usually cheaper) - sourcing parts yourself will allow the process to move smoothly and avoid delays - you might want to consider doing the mechanical part yourself since the wiring is the most time consuming and a shop would be more willing to convert just the harness rather than the entire car. - i'm only a PM away if you have any questions |
