'37 Barn Fresh Ford Truck. She's mobile!

I recently picked this truck up, with the intentions of getting it running then selling it, but like most old cars...I fell in love with it. It is a 2 owner truck that was driven daily until 1968 when it was driven into a stone barn and parked until 2 weeks ago. The goal is to get it up and running and drivable, then just cruise it as-is for the rest of the summer, then maybe rip it down this winter for a mild restoration/old school street rod build.

Here it sat since '68

The owner that didn't want to give it up...

Look at the filth....

after a quick bath

I am now a big fan of 3M rubbing compound.

The engine started right up after some tune up parts, it will require a new fuel tank, as the original has some serious problems with 40+ year old fuel.

More updates to come as I get money.

Should have been paying attention. It was sitting right behind the York Haven Post Office for 40 years.....

Don't touch it put a fuel tank in it and drive it. I wouldn't have even washed it, that kinda ruins a barn find that good in my eyes.

You're a son of a gun! I'm hopefully going to be picking up a late 30s ford for a rod build this fall/winter.

It is going to be a fun ride. I should have the brakes buttoned up and the fuel tank installed next week, and as long as the radiator holds pressure, she'll be mobile. It takes a good picture. The truck is rough around the edges, but very workable. The upholstery is all torn up, but the floors are solid. Can't wait to drive it.
