i was thinking the same thing, but you def have a very reliable setup. not everyone wants a super fast car. plenty fast to beat up on most of the cars around here

wow not knocking your car but 380whp should be netting you quite bit more mph. i put 300 down on their dyno and i ran a 12.2 @113. something doesnt seem right with the car.

yea but if you take a look at my times on my run:
60.. 1.692 330.. 5.004 1/8... 7.728 mph... 86.82 1000... 10.093 1/4... 12.081 mph.. 114.63 it looks like its the car. i mean you pulled a decent 60', you were even trapping faster then me on the 1/8th but you trapped slower then me in the 1/4. did u miss a shift into 4th? im just trying to figure out why it trapped slower.

*** I think it may be between 1st and 2nd, I tend to take my foot off the gas by habit. Revs going lower than set point. One other run I traped 114.5 but screwed my launch. Ive only ran this car 6 times since the build, so Im stil learning the new set up on the track.
other run trapping 114.53 R/T .150 60 1.817 330 5.331 1/8 8.091 MPH 88.12 1000 10.471 1/4 12.469 MPH 114.53 Last edited by silvrbulit04; 07-06-2009 at 10:23 PM. |

Well Karl is definitely an experienced and proven driver, but I agree that something doesn't make sense on the back half of the track. Your driving looks pretty solid on the first half which is the tough part, so I'd assume you keep that going the whole way. I know you have to shift an extra time on the 6 speed so that will definitely have an effect on ET, but I'd think your trap speed would be a good bit higher with 380 whp.
There are too many variables to sit here and try to talk like an expert from a computer screen so I wont even start doing that (ahem some other guys) but I'm not sure...

Plenty of guys running at 100% or more of what their stock motor can handle, this guy is running at 50% of what his built motor can handle... he's got more willpower than most, haha.
