1. Event T-shirts: (PM me to get more info)
Guys - White on Black, Medium, Large & XL $7.00 Each
Gals - Black on Pink, Small, Medium & Large $7.00 Each

2. *****RULES!!!!*****
Since there is a ton of people showing up.. Here are the rules YOU MUST follow..

Ride the Dragon AT-YOUR skill level - DO NOT TRY TO PUSH IT or KEEP UP WITH FASTER DRIVERS/RIDERS!!!!

- STAY IN YOUR LANE: This style of driving can cost you dearly or even death. The challenge is to take the many curves in the best line possible and driving in both lanes IS NOT "the line". Do not dive over the double yellow or cut inside the white line in corners. Ride Florida if you like to straighten out the curves.

- DO NOT SIGHT SEE: The event is to ride, it's not to watch the sights. On many runs I’ve done, I don't even see what is on the side of the road. I'm too busy “driving the road” and I don’t have time to watch the scenery..

- LOOK AHEAD: Look far ahead at the road, curves, bushes, other vehicles, etc. If you haven't seen the hazards right in front of you, you are going to hit them anyway, so you might as well pay attention to what you can avoid. We have seen deer, bear, turkeys, chickens and wild boar on the roadway. Be ready to brake and slow down.

- SAFE ZONE: Maintain a "safe zone". Keep a safe distance between you and the vehicle ahead of you, at least two car lengths.
Watch your rear view mirrors for faster vehicles. If you see a faster rider/driver coming up behind you, slow down but don't pull over to the shoulder, just slow down, and wave them around. It is much safer to give a faster rider half of your lane than you to try to outrun him.

- NEVER PULL OVER: Never "PULL OFF" the road onto a gravel/low shoulder sections of the road to let other "Faster" drivers to pass you by..

- NEVER PASS LEFT: Never stay left trying to keep anyone from passing. It may be illegal to pass on some sections, but let a faster driver/rider get around you to protect your safe zone. There will always be faster drivers/riders than you. Don't try to be the King of the Road. I’ve ridden this road many times before trying to challenge it. If you haven’t, then you need to respect it.

- DO NOT "RIDE" or "LAY" ON THE BRAKES: If you see danger ahead. You are much better off to trust your tires and lay into the corner than to hit your brakes hard. Some 90% of the accidents on this road are due to speed and then over-braking.
Stay between the double yellow and the white line. Use your gears and DOWNSHIFT. A good driver/rider WILL NOT use a lot of brakes. Focus - do not daydream. Watch the road, your mirrors, and pay attention to other bikes/cars/trucks on the road.

- SUDDEN MOVES: DO NOT make sudden avoidance moves. You might have to adjust your line to avoid a car, truck, or bike, but DO NOT lay on the brakes or turn off the roadway unless that is the only option or way out.

- STAY FOCUSED: Always stay focused & be 100% alert. You do not have the advantage of relaxing on the Dragon. Because if you do, you just became another statistic for the NHTSA..

- SAFE & SOUND RIDE: Make sure your car is mechanically sound and that your tires are good and not worn down pass the wear bars or 2/32th.. Remember that it takes a while to heat your tires up. We have learned, it takes at least 15-20 mins to get most tires up to temp on this road..

- 90% of the accidents on this road come from the following:
• Too much speed
• Too heavy on the brakes
• Inattentiveness to the road ahead
• Driving above your abilities

forget which channel i was watching, but this made the list of the deadliest roads in the U.S.

mainly because trucks/18 wheelers see this as a "short cut" for their route and once they start up the road, there is no way to turn around. they then cut corners and drag their trailers through the turns, causing "head on" collisions with on coming traffic. I'll see if i can find the episode somewhere online.

no trying to lead anyone away from this, just be safe!

I believe you have this confused with rt129 in nc/tn.

They recently banned 18 wheelers and commercial vehicles from the road

your right.

can't find the exact clip, but the 300+ turns threw me off, says the TN one has 318, but only 11 miles.

It's all up to who you ask since rt 129 very long before you hit the tail. But regardless, this pa trip looks fun. Maybe I'll see if the gf and I can make it in our tegs.

The volume of cars makes me uncomfortable tho. But oh well

well look at it this way, last year at the real tail of the dragon in TN.. I stopped counting after 40 (most likely over 200+), all types of Mitsu's from Mitsubishis Take On the Dragon showed up on Saturday morning.. in the afternoon run, about 30-40 old school Lotuses showed up..

TOTD is one of the places to visit on the bucket list..

That is specifically why I won't go. I'll end up getting stuck behind some turd or some retard nehind me that doesn't have the proper brakes and tires. I'd rather go with a small group of people I trust that have cars/driver skill similiar to mine.

nope -last year was 76 cars, zero accidents or incidents .. but the part that killed some of the fun, was three earth movers trucks that drove most of the entire route down - doing the speed limit.. there are some sections on the route to "Pass Left when clear", but many of the guys on the back of the train didn't want to pass them up.. they came late to lunch..

and during the Evo run last year @ToTD, but instead of construction trucks - it was a military transport convoy, I think it was around 30 or 40 Humvee's, but we where already at the MM 5 rest stop and we cheered them on and watched them drive-by, plus we waited 40 min until the road cleared up to do our run..

I'm definitely going to this! I've down TOTD the past few years in TN so this would be cool. If my coupe is running by then I'll bring that, if not the wagon will be tearing it up lol.
