What do you know, no sooner than I had made the list I got an LOL after class.

Im sitting in the school parking lot putting my top down and some guy walking by goes "how do you like it" i say "its great"
then he asks me "how do you fit in it though"
followed by which i get the "is that an intercooler??"

hahaha, I <3 my toaster
its an 8x8x1.5

Messing with them is fun too, one time I tried to play a ricer into racing me cause he was talking ****...i told him that my FMIC was an oil cooler, that I got my valve cover that says "turbo" from an RX7, and he ate all that **** up.

Oh, ive also been asked if I have an SR20det in my car LOL

Lol, I had a little boy do the same thing to his mom. It made me laugh. I've also had a little girl wave to me from the back seat on the highway, that was cute lol.

I had a guy pull up next to me in some POS 1980s Crown Victoria and go to his gf "HAHA, that stupid ricer has valve tap and it idles like crap!" I just looked over at him and went... "It's cammed you nitwit."

I don't get a lot of experts, just a lot of "oh, a turbo single cam? So it makes like 200hp? That's not too bad."

Yeah, something like that.

Ive been asked a few times if my wagon was turbo.
If my Subaru was AWD or FWD

My old cavalier, people asked me if it was a V8
Been accused of having n2o in the car, cause I raced a non-turbo Talon, and won.... was kinda like a special olympics race. Neither of us were fast at all

Oh... and my personal favorite so far is when I explain that I have headers, and get into arguement over that one, since its a 4 cyl.

Not my car, but some others:

E36 M3 - Friend was called a ricer driving his car. It is a real M3, cammed and lowered.... someone claimed it was a fake.
06 MS6 - GTO thought the turbo was aftermarket
Dodge 2500 Cummings - Been asked if it has a hemi countless times, even after black smoke pours from the exhaust.
95 Cavalier - How do you get in that thing?? (shaved door handles and locks)

There are a lot more.... but thats what I rememeber now

in the vette they use "what year is that" as a conversation starter.

the second most common is "how do you afford that" (keep in mind i look like a high school kid, and when driving to and from work look like a bum)

in the probe:

-is that an rx-7?
-is that the turbo four? (it definitely is not)
-who installed your turbo kit? (me retard)
-do you know your car smokes really bad?
-whats that smell?

Haha! Sorry I wasn't really into talking about my car, you know how it is. Can't be too careful and can't tell everyone everything.

I get asked a lot if my car is turbo... First off all 3rd gen rx-7s are. When i tell them its twin turbo a lot of people freak out thinking im making a million hp since i have two turbos...

I also get asked how many cylinders...

Is that an intercooler?
Is that an oil cooler?
Is that a radiator?
THATS your intercooler??
Is that a stock boost gauge?
Is that a stock strut bar?
Is that a stock intake?
Is that the stock valve cover?
How do you fit in this thing?
How do you daily drive this?
Is that RWD?

And im sure we have all ran into a few clueless jackasses that have tried telling us about our cars when they know nothing. Here are some of mine.

Thats not a stock front mount
Thats not an intercooler
You really have a sidemount intercooler
That boost gauge comes stock, I KNOW!
You wont even spin the front wheels off the line.
And basically any variant of the questions above.

Post up your most rediculous encounters as im sure we all have some. The first part of my post makes me laugh at times because I can see where people would get those ideas.
