Mass Effect

It's finally out!

Not the most exciting game. I feel numb playing it. The story is top notch though.

A bunch of us here at work got sent copies from our "hook up" on the Xbox Live team. I'm looking forward to giving it a try when I get out of here.

Wasn't this supposed to be a launch title when the 360 first came out?

I haven't played very much of the game at all but I personally enjoy it. The game it very similar to Knight of the Old Republic in how it plays but it can still get a bit hectic at times.

Typical RPG, at least for me. Takes me a while to get into it but once I do, I'm hooked.

That was one of, if not the best ending to a game ever.

bump... i've got the game on the 360 but really couldn't get into it. i'm thinking of downloading it for $20 and playing it on the computer then downloading mass effect 2 once i'm finished. or just go right for mass effect 2...

Ken, you should play through on the 360. From what I understand, ME2 will use your original ME save to "continue" YOUR story. I.e., the character choices and whatnot you made carry through into ME2 and can change the outcome. I'm interested in doing this myself... when the game drops in price.

i was thinking about doing that too... i might... i'm torn... honestly, i enjoy playing games on my computer more than on the 360, hence why i'm considering just buying the game for download and finishing it... $20 ain't much at all

I bought both at best buy. They have first one for $19.99 so I'm playing through that first then jumping on part 2. Just heard story is much better if you play thru first one. Soo far other than loading lag and horrible intro to controls. Once you get hang of it the game and story soo far is great.

U havent reached the end yet....

Edit: I read ur later post. I agree, EPIC Ending.

It has been my life for the past few days. I beat it like an hour ago. Epic game. I made my own decisions the whole way (wound up with a balance of good and bad). I screwed up with both human chicks and the Asari, so I ****ed the Quarian bitty...... then she took a grenade to the face in the final mission, Sail and Bail baby. High Five!!!!!!!!

Ending in Mass Effect 2 isn't as good because it's a complete and utter cliffhanger(like any regular second game).

I like the fluidity of the story of Mass Effect 2. I like the character relationships and the upgrading system.

Quarians look sexy as hell under their helmet. They have eyes, and mouths and noses. You can tell if you look real good. They might no have hair, though.

just finished the game... credits are rolling right now.

story is great... but wow... on normal difficulty the game was way too easy. like... beyond easy... the final boss... way too easy, such a let down.

but the story was really well done, game looks great as well.

very disappointed that some scene's that could have been a lot of fun to play were cinematic instead. and disappointed you don't get to see what tali looks like either

game play is a lot better than ME1... but too simple. may play through again after doing ME1 on the computer and importing that character
