Dienasty's 4g Eclipse MR

So I guess I'll introduce myself in this thread as well as talk about my ride. My names Ryan I drive a 4g Eclipse GS. I bought the car about a year and a half ago and she was completely stock. I am from Warwick, NY but during the school year I am Up in Binghamton, NY. I'm 21 (22 next week) and I'm majoring in TV Production. I've done all the work myself on my car. I have spent countless hours trying to make her look good. The only thing I haven't done myself is the paint on the front bumper and hood. I got those thanks to insurance when I hit a deer this past summer. Let me know what you think!

Ooo and her name is Veronica...cause Veronica Vaughn is one hott piece of Aceee.

Engine: DC Sport CAI, RRE Headers, RRE Pulley Kit

Exterior: Mod GT Hood, Tinted Headlights, DRL Delete, Black Out Front Bumper, Black Out Rear Bumper, Black Out Gas Cap, Black Out Emblem, Debadge, Black Out Tail Lights, Black Out Spoiler, MR Badge, Rico's Back Seat Delete, Black Out Fog lights, Bi-Xenon Hi/Low Raptor 6k HID Kit.

Exhaust: N/A

Interior: Blue LED's in Footwells, Red LED's in Air Vents.

Rims: Custom Painted Stock Rims

Suspension: N/A

In Progress: 35% Tint, F/iC & BrianJ Harness, Pillar Gauge Pod, UEGO Wideband, Vacuum Gauge, Fuel Pressure Gauge.

Upcoming Mods: MagnaFlow Cat-Back Exhaust, Aero Kit, BC Coilovers.

This winter my car is supposed to be test fitted for a turbo that will be released for the 4g eclipse and the 04 lancer. If for some reason this falls through I have a NOS Nitrous setup that I will move forward with in the spring.

Looks like a hot wheels car... Honestly the head lights look AWFUL and i cant judge the rest of the car fairly because they look so ugly. Def. needs more low tho.

Too much paint in my opinion. You are painting anything and everything it seems, I would slow down on that and leave some thing stock color wise. Get a nice set of wheels because those stock wheels are just ugly, I am not seeing a wing, which is a good thing, leave it wingless. Front bumper looks sick, but those headlights are terrible, you need to get yourself a new stock set and leave them alone! Hood looks ok, seems like there is a lot going on, on top of that hood but it doesn't look half bad on the car. Oh and I must be missing something, you say you have header"s", but I only see one? ;)

haha the MR is just a badge "Mitsubishi Racing". I've seen a few other Mitsubishi cars with them and liked the look. I had aftermarket headlights but I hit a deer and had to put my stock ones back in. I guess it's just old for me to say "header" haha but touche.

Haha I just like being a dick, so don't mind the things I say too much. But I would definitely get some new stock headlights, get a nice set of wheels, and drop the car 2 inches or so.

Yea coils are on my list of mods but I'm going to put that thousand toward the turbo first. Hopefully it works out this winter. I can take off the tint on the headlights if I want its not too hard. As for the rims I'm going to wait until I need new tires and buy a package deal.

Don't do smoked headlights. It just isn't safe.

With the turbo kit, are you going to be putting more power then the V6 then?

Yea the turbo that they test fitted for the lancer that has the same engine as mine was putting down 250 whp. The GT eclipse puts down about 230 whp. I believe that was at 8 psi. I know the stock engine is capable of handling 300 whp but thats on nitrous so it's not constantly running at that. We'll see how much it will put down but it will deff be faster than a stock GT. Whether its my car or another eclipse that goes in to get this kit tested on it they are going to dyno it. From what I heard they are only going to sell it at 8 psi but the kit is capable of running 12 psi. I deff wouldn't go that high I'd explode my motor.

Welcome. I don't get why people who own Eclipses do the 'evo' mod. It doesn't look right on this style eclipse IMO.

Other then the headlight covers/tint i like the way it turned out. I'm not sure if you were at East coast MOD a few weeks back but there was a bunch of these there. Some of them looked alright from a distance but once checking them out I pretty much realized everyone is trying way to hard with these.

Whats the evo mod? If you are referring to the blacked out front then it's because some of the 09+ eclipses have it done. Yea it was probably from the evo at first but thats the reasoning. The front of the new eclipses look better with some sort of lip. I want to buy the Aero kit for the fangs. I don't like how rounded the front end is.

No I didn't go to MOD I'm up at school and have too much work. I know a few of the ppl that went down to it and your right there are a lot of eclipses that don't look very good up close. A lot of them plasti-dip the front and I think it looks pretty bad. Cool on a drive-by but once you stop you can tell its not very nice.

Not my cup of tea, but sounds like you're improving the car. I would definitely do suspension first before the turbo, but that is just me.

Yea I would like to but I don't know how long the turbo will be out for so I want to jump on it. Unfortunately there is not much aftermarket support for the 4g. Even if I buy it and hold onto it until I get some coilovers that would be fine.

See how the Lancer GTS doesn't come with it.

That's the EVO mod. The EVO X's come like that, and people who own Lancers/RalliArt's do that to their cars.

Ah okk I see. I guess I just never heard it referred to it like that. I like it. Apparently Mitsubishi likes it too since they started producing the eclipse like that from 09 on. Even though the car is no longer in production.
