I resized those photos. It's going to take a few minutes for it to register I guess.

congrats man. I just got some new gear myself. I've always toyed with the idea of grabbing a fisheye lens but i think 17mm on FF is enough for me, haha.

I'm toying with the idea of getting a grip - but I've never used one before. Is it worth it?

The 2 tripod shots are shot with the 15mm, but they don't really show much.

I'll toy around with it tomorrow.

The battery grip is worth it IMO. It's much more comfortable holding the camera vertically.

i have a grip for my 40D. i like the extended battery life the most, having the other controls for portrait mode shots is helpful, they are just a bit overpriced for what they offer. IMHO. i'm sure eventually i'll pick one up for the 5d.

I wasn't sure how I'd like it on my 5D but it changes the ball game completely. The camera is much more balanced, fits better in my hand and just has a better feel overall. Grip is worth every penny IMO.

Canon grips feel soo crappy, still can't shoot without one though
I guess that's what I get more shooting a pro body for so long

What other lenses do you have

I had a fisheye and it got so old after only a month
Personal preference though

I just have the 28-135mm kit lens.

I've been putting off buying camera gear for a year. I spend the majority of my money on JDM bling.

I took this right before I went to work.

Out of focus towards the front. I just had it on infinity and used the onboard flash for the quick shot.

does that tripod have plastic clamps to hold the legs? becareful, i have a slik and one of them cracked. sb600 meets ground. pretty sturdy tho, still works mostly even after bashing it against a concrete pillar haha.

I just bought one off Fred Miranda. I began to notice how annoying holding the camera vertically was getting.

don't get me wrong, i like them and they are useful, but $200+ for one is just overpriced for what it is.

I picked it up for $135. Moderate use, looks pristine. I can always resell it (good thing about equipment).

I get a lot of gear used, so I'm on the FM forums and POTN a lot.

You could've gotten a wider/cheaper fish, I don't think paying the money for the 15mm for a cropped sensor is worth it, at all.
