Engine Nothing planned right now... Exterior v6 spats cwest lip Figured I'd give a little written history too. I bought the car from my older brother in August of 2005. He is a big initial d fan. He drove from philly to New Hampshire to buy this car. When he bought it, it had about 70k on the clock. After just purchasing a condo he needed money so he was going to sell it. At the time I was driving an 87 Trans Am, and all I knew of imports was his old 97 civic that looked like it came straight from the fast and the furious. He later finally got a jdm gsr swap. I took the gc to my work the have the rear wheel bearings replaced. After one day of driving it I told him I was going to buy it from him. I couldn’t describe it. It wasn’t fast, but it was fairly sporty. It was just fun to drive around. So in August 05 it became mine. After purchasing the car I joined this fabulous site along with tst. They had local meets and one night at the fresh works meet in Richboro Ryan from Area1320 came down with his GC. drools not even the word... I started talking to him and finally had a goal in mind. I was going to have a wrx swapped gc. Unfortunately I wasn’t making much money at my job and was trying to go to school full time and with all that and a gf I didn’t have much money left for my car. So I started off with a few mods in early 2006, silverstar head/fog light bulbs, hella super tones, kartboy short shifter with hardened bushings. Next I bought the clear corners, blue star badge, and got some fog covers as a bday present to myself in April 06. Then finally in July 06 I broke up with my gf(best thing ever, she was a leech). My first major purchase was in August 06 with my rota formels. Drove around like that for quite some time. Finally the real modding began, around Oct 06 I bought a obx cbe from ebay. Loved the sound, but wasn’t quite enough. I then purchased a borla header and installed that too. Now my car sounded like an apache helicopter at idle. I wanted my car to stand out from the rest(everyone had either v5/6 or P1 lips), so I bought the wrx 3 piece lip, but didnt like the center diffuser so I put on just the spats. That was fine for a while, but I wanted so more handling. I purchased front/rear cusco strut bars and 21-23mm cusco rsb in Nov 06. Then the car was running great. Around late Nov though my clutch started slipping after making the mistake of trying to teach my new gf to drive stick. So I bought a spec stage 2 clutch and act streetlite flywheel, ss clutch line with group n trans and pitch stop mounts and headed up to Nazerath to see Ryan. Finally it was running good, but stopped like a semi. So I purchased a set of front 4 pots and rear lgt brakes with goodridge lines. It was great, car looked good, went ok, handled well, and stopped great.... Should have known something bad would happen. Driving home from work one night I started hearing the loud clunking sound when I would go over bumps. Luckily I already had a set of jdm kg/mm springs my bro bought, so I ordered up a set of agx struts and group n top hats. Called up Ryan again around Nov 07 and made another trip north. Had a good laugh because after Ryan took off the ds rear strut and started walking twords the work bench the strut fell apart into 3 pieces, ala avatar pic.

Finally had my suspension 90% complete, my brakes 90% complete. I was happy at where I was so far. From then it was back to minor mods. Rally armor mudflaps here, gt spec alk there... Come Jan 07 it was coming along nicely(but I still wanted my swap). I drove the car like this for quite some time. Feb 07 took out a loan to get my swap done. Bought my usdm wrx engine, got a v2 trans, and the major parts like the exhaust, silicone rad hoses, jdm sti rad, clutch/flywheel and so on. But as it was sitting waiting to acutally be put in I ended up spending more than expected saying, well if I do this I might as well do that while its out... You know how it goes.

Took a drive around tinicum township, and decided to take some pics. Its a beautiful area up there with plenty of fun roads. If you dont know the area you can get lost pretty easily... well that is half the fun anyway.

Around early August I drove to York PA to buy my current 98 rs wheels. I wanted to wait till spring to put them on so they sat in my room. Around this time though I bought my jdm rabbit badge for my grille. So around Jan 08 I ordered my RT-615's and finally got them put on.

Late Jan 08 some q-tip decided it was a good idea to back into my ds fender. Well the body shop I took it too quoted me a price and that’s what I sent to her insurance company. I wanted to get my exterior finished so I bought a coupe spoiler off a member here. Early Feb we had a local cruise/meet. The spoiler came just in time for the meet. It came the morning of, so I quick grabbed my wrenches and threw it on. I finally got the check late Feb, and proceeded to take it to the body shop my buddy works at... One week later I had my fog covers, skirts, rear spats and wrx lip painted. The car is now sitting in Ryans new shop in Easton getting preped for the swap. In 3-4 weeks I will finally have my swapped GC. Now I only have a few tweaks that I want to do, but for now it will have to wait as I have to save money to buy a house.
Got JDM tails on it now, but no pics yet. Next pics will be at Area1320 pre swap then post swap.
