Picked Up Another Trans Am Today...

So I picked up another Trans Am today. This one is an '01 WS6. 350 LS1 of course, 149,000 miles, t-tops, 6 speed, black on black, Borlamouth exhaust, headers, etc. Snapped a few shots with my POS cell phone camera. As you can see, VERY dusty from sitting in a garage for the past 3 years. Seems like it's got a blown head gasket, spun bearing, etc. No big deal. The motor will be going to Blitz Performance in Kennett Square to get some work done. Should be drivable very soon!! Can't wait.

Are the tips and wheels going on the new one?

Thanks. Quad Borla tips are already on this. The wheels are staying where they are as well as they are the OE WS6 wheels.

What is the point of this car exactly? Since you have a truck why not just build your first Trans am?

Does any vehicle anyone own really need a point? I don't think so personally. But, this will most likely either be the "show" piece or built to race. I'm still debating on what I want to do with it. Either way it will be a fun project car.

The 98 is my spring/summer/fall DD when I am not riding the bike, so we'll see how this one falls into place with the other rides.

No worries, I didn't take it that way. Just figured no one needs a reason for any of our vehicles lol. Basically the deal was too good to pass up so I pulled the trigger!

Thanks! They are 315/35R17's, or in standard terms 25.7x12.4x17".

My friend was selling it, so I got a sick deal! Have you looked on LS1Tech and other Trans Am / Camaro forums? I've seen some great rollers out there in the $1500-$4000 price range.

Thank you all. I think, as of this exact moment at least, that I want the 01 to be my weekend DD, and the 98 to be my weekday/commute vehicle - spring to fall at least.
