What does "two step" mean with regard to cars?

Ive heard people talking about their cars "two step"

or say they "two stepped on him" etc

2 step is technically a 2nd setting of the rev limiter. 1st step is your top end limiter and the 2nd step is launch control limiter.

bring it up to about 5500rpms and just repeatedly step on the gas until the engine feels like it is bouncing off the limiter but not really, the fancy foot action is where the term "two step" comes from

yea, in the subaru community we have Launch control that sets a secondary rev limiter when the clutch is depressed just like that. Except we dont have gay names for it lol. that every hoodlum with a stolen civic will "be rave'n bout dat Two stup". We just call it launch control, and/or flat floor shifting.

Yeah flat floor shifting sounds a lot less silly than 2 step.
I wouldn't speak in behalf of the entire "Subaru community".

Flat foot shifting is different than a two step buddy.

You really just need to google stuff from now on.

Exactly. No launch control. Just some fancy footwork is all.

A gay name for it haha do you have down syndrome because if you do I am sorry. Lets really screw you up do you know what the difference between a 2 step and a anti lag is? Do you know what those subaru guys are using for "launch control"? Is it anti lag or 2 step and why do they use one over the other? Anyways im off to go write haltech a letter and tell them they have a gay name for 2 step and they need to change it asap.
