New Guy...Turboed Domestic

Just saying hi....I'm into every type of car. I tend to switch them out a lot. Currently I drive a 2003 Turbo Cobra. Have owned a 2003 supercharged Cobra, VR6 Jetta, 350z, WRX, 1991 Camaro, 1969 Impala......none of them stock.

Pretty impresive collection of cars you got. The black cobra is sick looking. Check out the upcoming meets section for meets that you might want to attend.

I don't think it is. It appears to be a different body style and it has a cowl hood, and the hood on his car is a stock cobra hood.

Thanks guys....This car hasn't been run down the track yet. It put down 591rwhp/661rwtq on a mustang dyno at only 14PSI. I usually run it at 14-16 PSI on the on the street. The car laid down 636rwhp/719rwtrq on race gas at 20 PSI on the old tune and before my new custom Turbo Back exhaust. I am probably around that at 16PSI. The car has a very conservitive tune AF at 11.5 Timing is at 15 I beleive. It also have some weight reduction.....not gutted but definatey lighter than a stock cobra (and I'll leave it at that...gotta keep some secrets). It is going back on the dyno to see what it will put down at 18-20 PSI. My Tuner (who has tuned a bunch of these) Thinks I'm going to hit over 820rwhp on mustang dyno at 20 PSI. This car is putting down more HP/TRQ than most Hellion cars. It's opening up the exhaust that has really helped the Turbo breath. I had a 4" downpipe into dual 3 1/2" pipes just done before the retune and new number. These numbers are on a Mustang dyno (Loaded Dyno) and tend to read around 7% lower than a dynojet.

My ported Eaton Cobra put down somewere around 509rwhp/535rwtq on a Mustang dyno before I sold it on it's street tune at 16-17PSI. Best 1/4 time it had was an 11.21 @ 121. The Supercharged car was way quicker off the line....I was putting down over 500rwtq at around 2,400 RPMs. You need sticky tires to launch. It would probably would beat my Turbo car from stop light to stop light with a good launch. But put the two next to each other on a highway or a 1/4 mile run and the turbo car would smoke it bad. It's like the car gets shot out of a slingshot once the 76 spools up.

I can't stand the mesh screen...had one but it just doesn't look right on it even with it being black. I'll take my chances....the car rarely gets driven it only has 7,000 miles on it.
