can I use Jeep wheels on my Caravan
I have come across a set of 17" jeep wheels from a '07 wrangler and wonder if I can use them on my Caravan for my winter tires. Bolt pattern seems to be the same, offset close, but the rims are 8" wide. Not sure if 225 tires would fit on a 8" rim. Any thoughts? |

Yeah you will be fine. I have 225's for snow tires on my factory evo 8 wheels which are 8" wide.

Your best bet is to find a "tire calculator". It will allow you to put in your stock wheel/tire specs and then put in your new tire/wheel specs. This will tell you if there's an acceptable difference. It's not always as easy as matching tire and wheel size. Offset may throw a wrench in the works. For example, my winter wheels on my WRX won't allow me to go past 225. My stock tires are 235 and will allow a 245. My winter wheels won't let me go past 225 (due to offset). I have 225's on now but they're a tight fit so I may just go 215 next time around.

well, I did a quick google search and came up with some answers.
2012 T&C, 17x6.5 et40 71.5 center bore. 2013 Wrangler Rubicon 17x7.5 et44.45 71.5 center bore both are the same bolt pattern the rubicon wheel is 1" wider, and the higher offset pulls it in ~.25"

My van has stock 16" wheels. The jeep wheels in looking at are of a 2018 jl rubicon. Not sure if that makes a difference.
I know in 2013 they changed the brakes on the caravan/T&C with bigger calipers. I wonder if the smaller caliper would give me enough clearance with a wider Jeep wheel. |

the 2018 rubicon JK is still a 44.45 backspace.
the 2013 T&C has a 302mm front rotor the 2018 JK has a 302mm front rotor
