Phantom knock (NA 2JZ) - Tensioner?
So it snows a bit and I have some fun after about a 500 mile break in - drifted for about 20-30 mins, and then pull up to a gas station to get gas and I hear the slightest knock from the front of the motor. Not the head, not the block, but audibly the front of the motor. As I let the car cool down it fades. Fast forward a few days I drive it around again and after an hour of driving around and the car being up to temp I hear it again. Turn the car off, fire it up again 30 secs later, knock is gone. Are the tensioners on these N/A 2JZs finnicky? I guess it didnt like the sustained high revs. Anything else I should be checking while I tear this thing apart?
