Beaverun Motorsports Complex Race/Drift/AutoX days

I found this track and events in a past article of Modified Magazine and I am planning on heading out there Memorial Day weekend (May 29th) for the flat-out day.

Here is the link to the main page: http://www.beaverun.com/

Here is just a few examples of their activities:

AutoX, Drifting, Kart racing, flat-out track racing, driving school, test n tune, bike laps, etc.

Specific events:

Drifting:

The first event will be Sunday May 29th from 10-5PM
Cost is $45/participant and $10/spectator.
Please contact the office at 724-535-1000 for any additional information

AutoX:
General
These informal autocrosses are meant to be low pressure events where novice drivers can develop skills and advanced drivers can get in valuable practice time.
You can expect to get in a lot of runs... the perfect opportunity to hone your skills.

Weekday evening $40
Weekend extended sessions $50
Driver Eligibility:
Any licensed driver over the age of 18 years.
Under 18 will require parental consent form to be signed at registration.

Qualified Snell helmets (1995 or newer) are required (some rental helmets are available).
Pre-Registration: Not required.

For additional information please call 724-535-1000

Flat Out Days:

Flat Out Days are opportunities to take your car (or ours) onto a genuine race course and experience the thrill of spirited driving. Emphasis is on learning and practicing high performance driving but within a controlled, noncompetitive environment. Specific goals are:
To learn the meanings of, and appropriate responses to, the display of Race Flags
To learn fundamental race track operational procedures
To learn the basic terminology of performance driving as an effective means of communications
To learn the fundamentals of vehicle dynamics and gain behind-the-wheel experience in them
To recognize and avoid potentially dangerous situations while on-track
To respond appropriately when dangerous situations occur
To instill a spirit of good sportsmanship and track etiquette
To recognize and appreciate effective driving
To encourage participation in road course activities and thus the growth of the sport
To leave at the end of the day feeling satisfied in having improved your abilities… and, of course, with a grin on your face
Split Session Format
Some of the Flat Out Days will be organized around separate morning and afternoon "Run Group" configurations to better accommodate weekday work schedules and reduce the overall length of the day from 8 hours to 5 hours for all participants. These will be known as the "Split Session" version of the Flat Out Day.

The general format of the day is:
Run Groups 1, 2 and Instructors will start the day at 8:00 AM and finish at 1:00 PM. Two classroom sessions and in-car instruction will be provided to both Group 1 and Group 2 drivers.
Run Group 3 starts their day at 1:30 PM and finish at 6:20 PM. There will be a Driver's Meeting but no classroom instruction and in-car instruction will be provided only upon request.
Instructors may also participate in the Afternoon Session
For those of you who'd rather take your bikes

BeaveRun Bike Lapping Days:
The North Track has become a very popular destination for sport bike racers and riders. The schedule continues to expand each year as organizations, shops and track-day promoters host a growing number of events at BeaveRun. The events run the gamut from low-key track days with the local motorcycle shops to multiple day instructional programs with some of the top touring groups in the country.
While most events have riders using their own equipment, others offer everything from safety gear rental to complete arrive & drive programs featuring track prepared sport bikes.
Pittsburgh based rider and writer Mike Seate penned an article detailing the benefits of track day programs for the experienced and amateur riders alike.

Performance riding schools hosted by sportbike organizations:

As expected, all vehicles must pass safety inspections, here is the like to the forms/guidelines:

Trailer parking is available and isn't expensive (I will be trailering mine)

I know there is more stuff, but you'll have to check the Beaverun main page to get additional info.

As I mentioned before, I'm definatly going Memorial Day weekend, so anyone is more than welcome to come with, bring your car / truck/ bike or even just come hang out. It will definatly be nice to push your car to it's limits while learning how to properly drive it AWAY from public roads.
