Well on Monday 03/26/07 at 11:50 am a 87 year old man made a blind on coming left hand turn in front of me and I could not get out of the way. ( I felt helpless as if my own child was killed rite in front of me ) Im still waiting on his insurance ( 100% his fault ) to find out what they think they are goin to do. But I have all receipts in hand and am willing to put up a serious fight if they say they are not liable for aftermarket parts.......we shall see

That sucks i just saw this car at the peddlers village carshow over the summer. By the looks of it they are probably going to want to fix your front end and not total it. I would fight it all day though. Good Luck man, sorry to see it.

not IMO . . . but waiting on insurance to tell me what they think. The engine is untouched by 1/8 of an inch and nothing is damaged but exterior and front bumper support mounts FMIC radiator and what you can see in the pic's . . . from what I have seen?

Did you still have a stock bumper beam or did you have to take it out with the FMIC? Thats good though. its hard to tell from the pics.

Damn dude! I feel bad.

How fast did he hit you? It seems that bumper beam not being there will really hurt you. This just opened my eyes big time. Time to get rid of my fmic and go with a better one.

let me know if you need any reciepts or anything. I still have all of mine so...

I hit him at 40-45mph in a 55 zone he pulled out rite in frount of me, from behind a nother car basicly only maybe a 50 foot notice B4 impact. I changed lanes to get out of the way but he just kept turning and crossed both lanes on 309 N of Quakertown. The FMIC actualy acts as the bumper beam ( that is such a sick-a-ning thought ) if its a good one

yeah, but at the same time I dont thik the damage would have been any less with one. Luckily it looks like everyhting will be very fixable and may not even take that long. I would have given the bastard a heart attack for it though.

Dude I feel so bad for you. I'm not even a big fan of Imports but I was very upset when I saw your car knowing the hrs and hrs of work it takes to produce something like that. I hope you get every dollar you deserve and more.

If you hit someone hard enough for where there is chassis damage, the bumper beam won't do jack **** anyway. The US bumper beam is rated to 5 mph, the JDM to 3 mph. Being hit at like 5-6 mph wouldn't buckle the jdm fender anyway but when you get to speeds above that it doesn't matter what kind of beam you have, if it is made of titanium or styrofoam, the frame will give way eventually.

And that sucks hardcore. Good luck getting everything sorted out.
