Official 9/11/10 thread: Where were you?
And RIP to all the people who lost their lives, I remember sitting in my 3rd grade class wondering why all the kids were leaving and finally my mom picked me up and saying that when i get home to just go in the basement and play nintendo 64 and that everything will be alright. Will never forget watching it on tv when i got home, first time ever watching the news. RIP and thanks. Last edited by mx931; 09-12-2010 at 09:41 PM. Reason: update |

^u were in 3rd grade? wow ur a yung buck i was in 10th. We were laughing at first saying what idiot could crash into that huge tower...then we watched the second plane hit live and realized it wasn't funny. The next days after that were depressing as shyt. Today should be a good day though to remember those who gave everything for this country.

I was in tech ed class when this **** went down. I walked in (late as **** LOL) and my teacher had the tv out and no one was doing anything. I was like whats going on? Then as I pieced it together on the tv, the principle at the time came over the loud speaker and told the whole school what was going on.
From there were had a moment of silence, and I got a phone call from the office. It was my mom, she was telling me that my uncle made it out of NY and was ok. Never was I more relieved in my life. Such a shame what happened with all this. God bless everyone involved... well except for the people that did this.

Yea I was in 3rd grade too and my Dad was working 20 blocks from it but he actually got out before they locked down the city. When he got home his car (pullied GTP) was covered in dust but mx931 I actually just sat and played N64 all day too. The idiot teacher I had told are class terrorist were taking over the world. I remember everyone just being pissed at the indian kid in my class cause we thought he did it.

I clearly remember sitting in 3rd grade and by the end of the day there were about 3 people left in my class, my mom wouldnt take me out of school and i was like wtf is going on. Watched the news all day that day and even though I was young I still understood what was going on. Next morning me and my mom were sitting at the kitchen table and we heard a plane flying crazy low over our house, and we both knew that all flights were grounded, and that scared the hell out of us. Like it was so low it shook the table. I think I made red white and blue pins for everyone in the school or something after it happened.

i still remeber exactly where i was.
I was in boot camp in the Navy. Chicago. I was waiting in line for live fire training with the 9mm. Then, out of no where, out division chief ordered us back to out barracks. We sat there, not knowing what was going on. They he turned on the TV, and i saw what happened. I did cry, then i got angry, we all did. But, my heart goes out to all that did die, and to the firefighters, medical personal, and police officers that were at ground zero.

i was in 7th grade spanish class (13 years old) when this all went down. our spanish teacher who was from Columbia wouldn't turn the tv on to let us watch what was going on. I finally got into my next class which was US History and it was probably the most memorable history class i've had in my entire educational career. Def really touching.
our school district was open all day and at the time, I had to walk home from school every day. I remember that the no fly restriction was already made and that day, but there were at least 4 plans i saw/heard fly over head while i was walking home. I figured it was because of the Willow Grove Air Base being so close to my house, but it was still unsettling to hear. got home that day to have a very quiet celebration for my sisters 18th birthday. so unfortunate to all those who's lives were lost and those who lost their family and friends. they'll never be forgotten.

I was building Unionville Elem School. And thought Howard Stearn had one F'd up joke.
It's eery how similar today is to that day.

I was in AP Chemistry class at the time and thought it was a joke until that second plane hit right in front of me and my jaw dropped. I wanted to do nothing else than go out and fight those who planned the attacks. I was so enraged, but didn't know how to take it out properly. It was a weird and sad day as everything went downhill from there. But, I remember there being a strong sense of patriotism that is sorely missing after all of those years.

I was in 4th grade when it happened. A lot of kids left school, I didn't know why. I got home and realized what had happened. My mom's close friend saw it happen, but luckily she was a good distance away and had time to get away as fast as possible.

And yes, thanks to those who risked their lives, and to those who are still fighting for our freedom, as well as RIP to those unfortunate by-standers who lost their lives that day... -Jesse

I was in... 7th grade computer class I think. Teacher came in and turned the TV on after the first tower was hit. We watched the second one. I literally couldn't believe it. One of the most shocking days of my life so far.

I was sitting in math class, doing nothing. I had already heard what had gone on at that point, because it was slowly making its way around the school. Then the principal had conformed that the towers had been hit, and I just couldn't believe what was going on. My cousin had an interview with some company in that building that day. He had gotten sick, called them saying can he reschedule, and they made it for the next day. He had gotten lucky that he didn't go to the interview that day.
