Put my (thrashed) tan leather drivers sport seat in over the weekend! Someone could make a killing if they reupholstered sports seats for a reasonable price. This seat doesn't have the mechanism that relinquishes the left rail to move the seat forward and backward- only the right rail is released by the lever. All other functions work, though.

And since it was so nice out, I kindly removed my landlords AC units, bed frames, fans, vaccuums, etc, and "relocated" them to above the laundry room so I can finally start on this thing.

Started tearing down the motor for a top end. I have my 5sp swap, I just don't know if I should complete it while I do the top end or not.

Have you hit up Nine Stitch or Stitched Wheels and got quotes?

My brother is looking to sell the front covers from his e30 that I did. I changed the look of the bolster area to have a strip, didn't require any foam shaving.

I'll be getting back into it in a month or 2 when I do another set of sport seats he has. He also has a M3 rear seat for me to recover, so I'll have patterns after that and can make a matching rear for his current front ones.

Those look great! And yes, I have. Neither got back to me. Both are so busy and fall off on the forums all of the time, it seems as if you have to get "lucky" and call at the right time to get stuff done by them, and when you do the price and quality are great!

I have a pair of natur leather sports seats I need done for the iS, and more importantly, I have natur leather seats I need done for the E30M3.

My first job was doing classic Mustang interior upholstery and the E30 seats aren't much different functionally once taken down. I'm just hung up on the fact that the only leather kits available are $1K for front seats.

You still have those two wings for sale? I'm looking for two- one for the bonnet and one for the boot.

Finally had another couple hours to work on the car today. I'm trying to tackle things in waves, with the first wave being the engine bay.

While I don't want to "shave it", I do want to clean it up a bit- specifically the drivers side. I'm keeping ABS and cruise because Function > Form.

I'm going to:

-Relocate the little relay block to behind the strut tower, and extend the AFM wiring to compensate.
-Run drivers side harness underneath fender.
-Remove airbag sensors (because I've already deleted my airbags).
-Cut off a few small obtrusive brackets.
-Relocate coil to underneath battery tray.
-M42 Rad
-Powdercoat IM and VC
-M3 Harness cover

I think this will simply and effectively really clean up the engine bay without going all out.

All Clean

The infamous 'one bolt' ignition coil relocation:

Thanks, man!

I'm actually in the middle of doing a top end, too, which is why it's halfway disassembled.

I ran my Evo without a timing cover for years and it always sketched me out.

M20 has a cap and rotor though, so I have no choice but to protect it!

That car was like a really terrible high school gf you dated for way too long so you just try to block out the memories.
