The guy at work was telling me, that one of the owners in Cali posted on the forums that the car put down alittle under 550whp an 500tq. The Magazines are saying 473 or something so idk.

Someone posted the trap speed of the GT-R earlier online and I wasn’t sure if it was 100% accurate.

Obviously, it certainly is looking legit. This car will be nuts.

Yeah, but they have no reason to lie anymore, a couple years ago all the Japanese car companies said "F that" and stopped following the limit officially.

And lol @ BlackZ05...dawg it put down 475 hub hp, and like 425 lb ft of torque...550? Maybe crank, unless you have proof, and there is plenty of proof on nagtroc.com

Like i said it was word of mouth, who knows i'm sure all you need with these cars is a boost an controller. The only thing thats gonna hold these cars back is the Trans an how much they can handle before they need to see work them selfs.

470 whp is still a crap load of power stock. They're gunning for the european supercars the same way the Z06 is.

It's a Nissan. I'm sure its of great quality, but it will never touch the Ferrari, 911 Turbo, Lamborghini, etc. in terms of thrill or passion.

That being said, the GT-R will be certifiably ridiculous

Yea, it's not that they are gunning, they have beaten. Look at the 7:38 N Ring time. The Z06 didn't do that.

And there is more to be had, especially with the V Spec.

I just find it hilarious that the focus is on the quarter mile, and this thing has more than enough grip in the corners to tear the skin straight from your bones. But yea...quarter mile...woot woot.

i dont think that can be said without driving the car(s) in question.

The link stated $70K+ price tag. See but Chevy has the ZR1 coming which I'm sure will easy overstep the performance of the GT-R. I know the price tag is higher, but it gets to the point that if someone can dump $70k+ on a car, they can probably do more. More for a car that isn't the Nissan name. (And no I'm not getting into the whole Nissan name arguement lol.)

The limited amount of them coming to the US is still a downer, i'd like to see more then 1500 of them. I mean how often do you see Z06's we got a good few of the new ones around town, an then you look at the 03-04 Cobras which are a bit rarer an i've seen maybe 2 of them in the span of a month. Then you figure there only expecting to release 1500 of them for the price there at they should move no problem, then you figure in there only going to new Nissan Dealerships with glass front rooms. There gonna be about as rare as seeing a Lambo on the highway which sucks! Cause they produced a good amount of previous GTRs. I'm Really hoping that the following year they'll allow more to ship to the US if they sell well. I had all the hope in the world to see one untill recently the guy that was about to throw cash at one decide to buy a summer house.
