Being that I would like to get a fullsize and do ALOT of range shooting i figured a .40 is a good place to start looking. I do like the larger round, and i feel as though in a fullsize the trade off of capacity is worth it.
If you are going to shoot a lot pick yourself up a nice 9mm. They are cheap to shoot. For defense rounds throw in Hydra-shock's or HST's and after 16 rds you will neutralize most threats. I know you said you wanted a .40 for a "full size" but if looking into the springfield XD lineup no matter if its an xd 9 sc/40 sc or xd 9/40 service or tactical the guns are all the same size. The only thing that changes are mags and barrels. With the sub compacts no matter caliber you have a shorter barrel/slide and shorter grip. The service is longer grip and 4" barrel. The tactical is a 5" barrel.

On another note, I find it absolutely hilarious how they make it so you can start carrying a gun and start drinking at the same time, LMFAO!
Find a range near you that rents guns. This way you can try a few different guns and get a feel for what you like.

Sick.

Question for those of you with your Concealed, do you carry it around loaded?

You will hear/see a lot of different opinions on this one. I'm assuming you mean carry with a round chambered, I would hope the firearm is loaded, otherwise it is just an object to throw at some one.

Personally I always carry with one "chambered".

yea same here, at first i didnt but it made the most sence to carry with one in the chamber. took me a couple days to get comfortable with it. also if you think its more dangerous for the user to carry in the chamber, its a gun. its dangerous period!

I'm still carrying without one chambered because my gun has no exteral safety but the more I think about it probably makes sense to have on chambered being that seconds count alot in the situations you'd would most likely pull the gun out.

Ok first off, I just wanna say that is baller as hell.

But I have to ask you, why on earth could u possibly need that type of a gun?

Are u a cop or a soldier or do u just like guns? or what. Because I can see no purpose in needing to have anything more than a pistol or a shotty for protection.

Just wondering....please dont shoot me (especially with that) lol

There is no purpose for the guns I own, I live in a really nice safe suburban neighborhood

I just think guns are ****ing cool, so I enjoy owning and shooting them

They are like the Z, totally unnecessary but I wanted to do it, so I did it

Damn I feel sorry for the poor **** who decides to break into ur house. Thinking he'll scare u with a pistol. Then u bust down on him with one or more of ur assault rifles. Damn. How do u even get the permists to own an assault rifle. Because that's just way more than anyone would need to simply protect their home.

there is no need for a permit to buy an assault weapon, as long as its not fully automatic atleast. not sure about nj though. most people with ar-15s and such dont even use them for protection, a shotgun will be more deadly in your house than a rifle. the reason why most people have assault rifles are because they are fun to shoot, its just a hobby for most.

You don't use an "assault rifle" to guard your home. It'd be silly, you'd wreck the place. A shotgun is really all you need for that.

Most own one for the hobby, go shooting at the range, and to exercise their dwindling 2nd amendment right.
