I signed up and was ready to go but when my alarm didn't go off and I woke up at 8 there was no way I would have made it. Kinda pissed because the course looked awesome.

Simmons set up an awesome course on Sunday...super fast in some places and "Oh-my-god-I-didn't-know-shifter-karts-needed-to-go-this-slow" slow in one place in particular.

Did anyone get pictures from this one? I was the "slow" guy in the #8 F125 (the yellow kart--my helmet has green dangley tethers on it)...

It is amazing how "slow" is relative since my best time was a 46.4s and was only good for 5th of 6 (except I coned that one away) and was 2s off the leader's time...yet was 5s faster than a well set up and fast Evo in SM.

I got there at the end of the day because of some family stuff that came up. Was a shame cause the course looked awesome and most of the cars were gone. I took a few videos and picture but nothing worth while posting. Was good to catch up with a few evo friends thought that were still around.

South Jersey Region of the SCCA

SJR has a monstrous new site this year in Atlantic City at a former airfield.

Mark helped me set up the course, He will take the blame for the Realy Slow Finish!!! Otherwise it was a fun course.

I still pax'd you by 0.6

It was a very fun course. The "stop and check your tire pressures grab a soda and walk to the" finish was a little tight, but it was a good mental check.

My fastest run of the day...

Yeah, you can be proud of that...just remember I've driven a kart exactly one other time this year (at the doublecross)...and only once before that (and that time I didn't know how to shift so I never got beyond 3rd gear )

I guess I'm going to have to do at least one more event this year so I can redeem myself.

Lol, just sayin' karts are supposed to be fastAr . It supports your "slow is relative" statement.
