Need an odometer replacement sticker

Just like it says, I need a sticker for the jamb, vehicle is registered inspected and insured. But I replaced the ODO with aftermarket and need the sticker for when its time for inspection in 2010

I'm pretty sure you don't need a sticker to pass. I swapped my dash and don't have one. I just have the miles I need to add on to my odometer written down for when I need it. I've had two inspections since.

Your supposed to have a sticker. I was told this by my buddy, who is also the person / shop manager who inspects it. But hes trying to keep it as legal as possible. I am also going to emissions exempt this round.

Under subchapter E 175.74

A vehicle specified under this subchapter, except a motor vehicle at least 25 years old, shall have an operating odometer calibrated to indicate total miles or kilometers driven.

Just like the speedometer it has to be in a car and operational. The rule does not specify it being correct, just that it works properly. I asked the same thing at my dealer if we had any stickers for that and they looked at me like my head was missing. They just said just figure it out when you need to write the total miles.

Exactly. New odometer says 137 miles when the chassis really has 109,000.

I passed inspection with flying colors.... I swapped the v8 in a day after. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

You can swap engines all you want. But it's gotta have all the emmission controls it came with. Not 100% sure but I don't know if you can put an older engine into a newer car without getting an R title. Technically I should have an R title.

Like I said, when I asked my dealer they thought I was weird. If your buddy is requiring you have it he should probably know where to get one I'd think. We have sent odometers out to get programed. I could do that but eventually I'm gonna go to the sti cluster.

I turn less then 5K a year, no emissions. And I passed the first time with flying colors (with a KA24). They turn their head with the safety items, but just incase he wants me to have the odometer replacement sticker because I am emission exempt.

And swapping engine is not legal unless its the same engine, an updated version same year or newer.

Yeah I thought that was illegal. Don't really come across that to much. Have him or I guess you could do it call up penndot. They'll know for sure.

Nice, thanks.

His story is that car was stock when it came in, emissions exempt. So if I can pull a odo sticker I am set.
