Who uses what motor oil???

I've been using Mobil 1 fully synthetic motor oil for years. But I've been reading many different advertisements for different oils and started wondering what people are using and what people prefer. As an example, I was reading the latest Road & Track and there's an ad for Pennzoil Platinum. It goes on to say it has cleaning agents...blah, blah, blah. What do you guys run and what do you recommend?

Valvoline vr-1 20-50 conventional in bugs. Have'nt done the oil yet in the rabbit(naturally saves money for oil changes as it keeps on breaking down!), but I guess I'll use some 15-40 diesel blend. Some walmart ooze for cars I do'nt give a hoot about.

Yeah, in my SW2 winter car I use the cheapest motor oil I can find. That is, when I even change the oil. lol I don't have to too often...it has a leak so I just keep adding new oil. No need for a full change (who needs a new filter? hahaha)

I've been using Royal Purple 20w50 for summer and 10w30 for winter. If I can't find Royal Purple then I'll use Castrol Syntec.

I've been hearing good things about Delo 400 and adding VSOT to it. I may give it a try.

I used redline oil in my Sentra, although I'm thinking about giving amsoil a try.

The Xterra gets Mobil 1.

Just an FYI, there was a test done on the oil drop a short while back and it found that Mobil 1 is not a full synthetic. It was made from a dino oil base. I'm not sure if that still holds true now.

Every test i've seen has put mobil one at the bottom of the chart for synthetic oils. Amsoil is my 1st choice, followed by redline.
