First time in court

I recently got a ticket for a 3322. I disagree with the ticket so I pled not guilty.

When I go to court I will try to get this dropped to a 3111. Even if found innocent I cant imagine getting my money back so I figure its less work to just try to get a 3111.

Questions:
How do I go about negotiating before court? Will the officer be sitting in a room with me and I just introduce myself and start talking? Any tips there?

In pennsylvania, are dash cams always running? Do they eventually overwrite themselves? The officer says he has me turning too close to a car on video. Even if he does present the video I dont think it will hurt my case though.

I would assume it does not matter but the officer spelled my name wrong and mislabeled my car in the citation Could that help me or is it irrelevant?

Thanks for your help

All depends on the court, smaller district courts could have the officer available right away or a crowded court might not get you in the same room as the officer until its show time. There is no guarantee the officer will even talk to you before hand and if he does he will usually come looking for you. Dash cams are either activated by hitting the record button or activating the vehicles overhead lights to start recording. The system is recording at all times and they have very large hard drives. When the system is activated most use the minute preceding the activation as part of the "stop footage".

Typos on the citation mean nothing.
