Got it, stripped harness, tore off trans, needs clutch and rear main. More money into this thing. Lots more to go.

Just waiting on some big invoices to clear before a spending spree.... lessgo clients, pay me!
Flywheel is done, getting it on the engine stand later today to take a look at the bottom end and brush off some of the rusty spots from where moisture was around the spark plugs. Updates will follow.

Dropped my phone pushing it out of the shop, then it got run over by an Audi. Now can't email myself photos. Ill hopefully fix this tomorrow.

Aaaaaand we're off.
Used the JDM engine mounts to mount it up because it sat way lower than OEM. Had to notch the XMember to make it work but oh boy was it worth it. Pan still above xmember, engine sits bit lower than stock, and can get my hand plus ratchet in behind the head to remove upper trans bolts from the top. win win win all around.

Aright so fab work is not moving right along due to a variety of reasons...
If you buy a VVTI 1JZ it can come in 2 flavors - JZX100/JZX110 (also verossa, etc, but same ****). In order to mount the 1Js in the IS300 correctly you need to use the OEM 2JZ-GE engine mounts and upper aluminum mounts, JZX110 transmission mount for your R154, as well as JZX110 shifter linkage. Using OEM JZX100 engine mounts moves the engine forward and allows the remote shifter linkage from the JZX100 to fit perfectly... however the engine is now about an inch forward from where it should be. Gotta use the OEM 2JZ-GE oil pan to get this to clear the crossmember when using OEM 2JZGE mounts, and swap your shifter linkage to JZX110 from JZX100. If its a JZX110 motorset your already ahead. Oh, and my AN fittings aren't here yet and fab isnt gonna start until this ****s aligned. Would love to pull a grand out of my ass to get this thing done.

Seriously, how do you let a motor in this **** shape out the door.
Compression/leakdown test my ass. This car is blowing so much oil out of the exhaust, its seeping past my sealing ring VBand flanges. Leakdown would have caught it. See the milk? See the shavings on the left? This is whats shooting out of my exhaust and dripping past my flanges. I havent even taken the bottom end off yet. If I'm gonna get ****ed in this, Im not gonna be docile about it.
