Graffkid732: Voltex 3.4L GT47-88 2jz 350z Build
So the time has finally come for me and I pulled the trigger on a few things, I am parting out most of my 350z to build a “340z”. This car will be a street/highway car that will go to local events/shows/meets etc. Previous setup was an APS Twin Turbo kit with APS Plenum, Greddy Ti-C and other supporting mods. Made 421whp/391wtq at 8lbs. Link to Photo shoot I had posted here awhile back: Click Here New power goals: Would like to have 650-700whp on pump. On High boost and a better fuel option, take a glory run and shoot for 12-1300whp. The reason I ditched the VQ was because of reliability with high power. VQs are great motors and I have done a ton of research and had 2 spare blocks to build at one point, but they just don’t stand up to this. V8s are much more common than the 2JZ in a 350z so that pulled me away from doing that. Car has been off the road for a year and will continue to be until everything is done. Interior/Exterior/Engine. I believe in Quality over Quantity. A lot of the work is being done at my house in the garage. Pretty much have the whole build planned out, but we all know how that goes. I will update the thread as often as I can with updates. May have forgotten something, so I’ll keep adding. Engine is being assembled by Titan Motorsports in Orlando. The Friday before Christmas I get a phone call from Marty at Titan saying there was an issue with the Head from the machine shop. Luckily enough, they caught it before I got it and they sent the head back to get reworked. So again, I am playing the waiting game but I am not in a rush to do anything, I just want everything done right…The first time. From the JDM Engine place -2JZGTE engine block -2JZGTE NON-VVTI Head -Getrag 6-speed Transmission Engine: -Precision/Garret GT47-88 Turbo .96 a/r (May be selling or sending out to get reworked, not sure yet) -Brian Crower 94mm stroke; billet stroker crankshaft (Standard -Brian Crower billet steel oil pump gear -Carillo heavy duty H-beam connecting rods with CARR upgraded bolts. -Titan Motorsports ultimate race pistons (made by JE) .020 over and 9.5:1 compression ratio. You're only looking for 700whp out of 3.4 2j and a 4788? It'll fart more than that. lol! Definitely a dope build and can't wait to see it done.

Honestly not sure, we took it down now. It's a standard table from Sports Authority. $2-300 I believe. Nothing special. Thanks guys. Hope to have some more updates soon with engine and hopefully some cage work getting done.

Has been WAY too long. Sorry guys. I've been busy, traveling for work, and working a lot of OT, I've lost a lot of time to work on the Z. Engine is being shipped now thank god, has been forever. Brake will be ordered in about a month. From there things will really be moving. Brakes took some time to save for unfortunately but after those, I'll be doing fuel system and deciding what I'm going to be doing with the turbo go from .96ar to I think 1.08 or 1.16. I forget exactly and choose a manifold as well. SP and Full Race are in my eyes right now so one of the 2. Twin 44mm Wastegates to go with as well.

Ooops
5.5 month bump! I honestly completely forgot about my build threads outside of my350z's forum. I don't get on the computer much anymore between work, going out, and more work.
Over the last few months I have collected more pictures and parts. I was able to get some cool stuff so I will start updating this thread much more as time goes on. With in a few weeks I plan to start working on the Z again as it has just sat for months. For awhile I lost ALL motivation to get this car done but not that most of the big "humps" are out of the way, I'm hoping to stay focused and motivated. I'm working right now, will definitely update with some stuff over this weekend. Thanks to those that have shown interest in this build and I promise one day it will be done, not sure when. Realistically looking to have the engine able to run by Summer 2014. Looking to have it finished by Summer 2015. It is possible, but things add up to a delay.

Parts update
Black Friday I had ordered my intake setup. The front mount which arrived quickly is posted in OP but here is the manifold, fuel rail, and throttle body. These parts took about 2 months to get in.
For those of you who do not know who "Hypetune" is, definitely look them up. They produce high quality parts for multiple platforms with outstanding results. Hypertune Race port Intake manifold Hypertune 6 Injector Fuel Rail Hypertune 102mm Throttle Body Pics taken with iPhone: More updates to come!
