I can only image the grip and cornering ability of of widebody...

While shopping for a new DD, I found the car that could potentially replace the mr2 someday. The new Boxster S is sweet looking. It definitely lost its femininity that it used to have. Also the reviews say its a massive improvement actually a car worthy of the Porsche name.

Though I would need a $40k a year pay raise first.

I dig it. Are the stock metal trunk/frunk back on or did you paint any of the carbon? Kinda bummed you ditched that neat periscope intake pipe.

I disliked the periscope intake to the extreme. I also will not be making nearly enough power to justify it.

The carbon fiber trunk was painted white. I was going to paint the CF frunk, because i liked the reverse scoops, but I got a really good deal for the steel hood and some other parts.

Plus the fitment wasn't the greatest, and I don't have to worry about hood pins and such

I doubt it, since everything else is a replica. Now that I think about it, I don't know what i ever did with it. I wonder if its still in the garage at my rental

It only works if you have the Tom's intake box. They only made them for the 3sge. I have only ever seen one real Tom's intake box. It was CF and they wanted a lot of $$$$$ for it.

I think it'd still direct air in; my intake sat in a perfect spot to use one. by 3sge you mean the beams?

pics for reference.

My intake sat in the same spot, and it was right under the scoop. It may not be fully efficient, but i'm sure it would help some. My goals aren't for big power. Hell, I am still running stock boost. I would like to up to boost a little, but I also need to get new front tie rods, and worthy wheels/tires

Hence the reason I am selling my WRX. Spare time to work on the cars is a rarity these days, and I am giving up that beast to get something plain jane and spend my time on the mr2.
