from procharged small block to turbo 5.3 nova

posting this here since i know some of you like this stuff
so my friend has this 383 f1r procharged nova, blow thru carbed, i talked him into selling it after all the trouble he had with it, and going turbo LSX.

he sold the whole setup minus the trans. (built th350 with a brake)

him and my friend corey pulled a fresh race motor

my buddy cut the pan down for clearance

test fit.

so yesterday we built the hotside

he bought the denmah special from VSracing, GT45(68mm one of my personal favorites haha)

intercooler, wastegate etc, its getting that gold MS3box from EFI source and 80lb injectors,
we are installing pac1218 springs and leaving the stock cam and everything go for now, going to see what kinda power it makes, then i would like to see what kind of improvement martin can make on those numbers with low and high boost.

650 wheel.
but it was finicky to say the least, and got 4mpg on a good day.

the turbo 5.3 should put down 500-550 with just the stock cam or more.
then we plan to cam it later and pickup a few ponies.

should get low to mid 20s on the highway even with the 3 speed auto, he plans to do a 4l80e farther down the road.

Out of curiosity, what would you charge to do something like that into a roller car? Pm me if you don't want to post it here.

This is something I honestly would like doing years down the road, but my knowledge with all this is nothing like yours. Plus the car wouldn't look pretty anyways, so doesn't bother me.
